I have had RKS and PMLD for a long time now. Sorry I haven’t been on the site for a long time but recently have had a change in experience with my both and thought it might be of use to others. I saw my neurologist in January and she decided to have me checked for sleep apnoea. I was diagnosed with

Restless legs, why worse at times?
At different times in my life, I've had restless legs, and insomnia caused by that. I would take a sleep aid, one not mentioned as being worse for rls. Right now, big issue. Six nights in a row. I'm in a remote location for three more weeks with no access to pharmacy. Besides stretching exercises, what

Septic arthritis anyone?
Tis a rare beast I believe so I'm not expecting a huge response, but I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's had this awful condition?...how your docs think it occurred, what meds are you taking now, etc.... I had it in my hip 3 years ago and was advised not to take enbrel again, which I was on

My TSH was 5.6
Yesterday the Specialist called and told me to stop taking my Methamizole since my TSH level was 5.6 and to go in 3 weeks for another blood work on my TSH. Well let's see how it goes since I'm stuck with high blood pressure and been on medication for that, I really believe I got high blood pressure because

Buserelin Vs contraceptive pill
Hello, I'm about to start injecting Buserelin and I'm wondering why some people go on the contraceptive pill and some people go onto injections or nasal spray? Is there any reason I would be told to take Buserelin? I asked the doctor and he just said not to compare and everyone is different and I couldn't

Question??
I've been having what I consider a new symptom. Background info, I take Baclofen for spasticity since last August. My right leg has been having a shooting pain between the ankle and knee. Feels somewhat like "shin splints" that runners sometime feel. Any ideas on that? Obviously, I'm not running these

Sleep study
Hi all! I just wanted to encourage anyone who has severe issues in the morning to get a sleep study done even if you don’t have sleepiness during the day. I live in North Dakota and have pretty limited access to good neurologists or movement disorder specialists. I’ve only been diagnosed for a year and

Sleep apnea common?
Is sleep apnea a common issue with people with Afib? I know I have insomnia a lot of nights. But don't know if I have sleep apnea. Is sleep apnea common with people on this forum? Could it be the main cause of Afib?

Should I take beta blockers
Been having my pulse running up some, and I'm noticing that I'm getting it more after hours after using the Methamizole my last TSH level a week ago was 4.76 high normal. Two weeks before that TSH it was 7.79. I'm taking 2.5 Methamizole once a day Monday and Friday. I'm wondering now if I'm going hyper

Augmentation drug study
I see in the latest Nightwalker that a study is being undertaken by William Ondo MD at Houston Methodist Neurological Institute (Texas) evaluating the possibile role of the drug ecopipam in reversing dopamine agonist augmentation. They are looking for participants who are: Available for 6 or 7 visits

Nortriptyline
Hi all, I’ve been diagnosed with neuropathic pain today and I have a few questions. Obviously the diagnosis is a lot to take in first of all. I was on amitriptyline for about 9 months previously, I took myself off it a month ago because the side effects were horrendous. My consultant prescribed me
