Sleep study
Sleep study has anyone else had to do a sleep study with one of these thingies on? It's just measuring heart rate and oxygen saturation as far as I can see, and I was wondering if anyone else had had it and knew why it was usually done! My cons never mentioned it to me, he just ordered it. Got to wear

Has anyone been diagnosed with Hashimotos Encephalopathy ??
Has anyone been diagnosed with Hashimotos Encephalopathy? I know that it is pretty rare. I have a lot of the symptoms. Upon reading about the condition it does seem to have a lot of the same symptoms of adrenal fatigue. Apparently, it responds well to steroids. Hmm I am beginning to wonder if it is

For those of us with smog rents and sore feet this might amuse!! I was trying to sleep in between the blooming air con making me think someone was breaking into my room, I even called security who seemed to think I was daft ( probably the right conclusion ) , anyway I reached onto my bedside cabinet

Thank you!
Thank you all so much for the support! I saw my Rheumatologist yesterday, and he has put me back onto Beta blockers. By slowing my heart rate he hopes it will relieve some of the pressure that builds up in my head. Apparently some vessels in my head are narrowed as a result of APS, so there is not

Soothing stuff
I was very honoured to be asked to dinner by my Saudi neighbours last week, and was served Arabic coffee, which is heavily laced with cardamom. It tastes very odd, like cough mixture, but they only pour a few teaspoons at a time, so it was surprisingly easy to drink - especially with the accompanying

My Conversion Disorder Manifests Itself In Fits Of Collapsing And Partial Paralysis.
I have struggled with conversion disorder since I was 16 years old, and I'm 27 now. My first big bout with it happened my junior year of high school. I had starred in the school musical and then landed the lead in the school play right after the musical was over. Finals were coming up, I was trying to

Hi I am currently taking 150 mg of sertroline daily and 7 and a half mg of mirtazapine at night to help me sleep.
I have been taking these for around 5 years now. For the past 4 years I have been having nasty and disturbing dreams most nights with a few proper nightmares. These are bugging me more and more. Does anyone else suffer with these? And could they be caused by my meds? My dreams are mainly anxiety

Restless Legs for 20 + Years
I have had Restless Leg Syndrome for 20+ years and was not taken seriously by medicos for many years. I have been tried on a myriad of medications, none of which are working. It has now gone into my arms. I have spoken to a sleep specialist and he stated that your sleep has a lot to do with this condition

Sleep Neurologist visit
Last week I had a consult with a sleep neurologists. My main concern was that I have been on ambien/zolpidem for years. I usually take 3 or 4 5mg every 2-3 hrs when I wake up with urgency urination. His response was similar to a MD that I saw 4 years ago.... Although they prefer not to use this

Not a good week
Having finally managed to make my way back onto the forum on Monday after too long away, I was full of the joys of spring tra-la! I then went for my long-awaited pain clinic appointment on Monday afternoon. Now I really regret it! Outcome of a one-hour consultation was - he will refer me to the multi-disciplinary
