Buserelin Vs contraceptive pill

Hello, I'm about to start injecting Buserelin and I'm wondering why some people go on the contraceptive pill and some people go onto injections or nasal spray? Is there any reason I would be told to take Buserelin? I asked the doctor and he just said not to compare and everyone is different and I couldn't be bothered to persist with my questioning. Hi Box01. Probably because you’re doing the long protocol, so you need to down regulate first. The “pill” is often used for short protocol, FET and egg donation. Don’t worry, as I’m sure you’re doing the right thing. Good luck! Diane

My consultant is not keen on the nasal spray as, although it’s the same drug as injectable buserelin, she feels it is better absorbed as an injection and less likely to be affected by you having a cold or similar.
