Hi, I'm new on here, so please bear with me
I have had Psoriasis on my scalp for coming up 2 years now, and nothing my doc has prescribed has worked. Lately, I have had a few (initially) small very dry patches come upon my face. They have got bigger slowly, and my doc has said that it's Impetigo, and he's given me some cream for it (Fucidin).

Ridged nails - dermatologist diagnosis
Dermatologist said my nail condition was washboard nails also known as fungal paronychia, but looking at the images for each of these shows a different type of effect on the nails. Mine resembles the washboard images which is due to picking at the cuticles, which I do. The fungal paronychia is due to

Hi All, Had my
skin
graft
on Wednesday and all appears to be going well with little pain from the graft or donor site.. I do think the surgery has brought on a flare tho as I'm having hot flushes back / kidney pains along with fuzzy head / slight dizziness.

High cholestrol can be reduced
1. Take a glass of milk and add a fresh piece of raw garlic into it. Boil and then let it cool before consuming. Do it for a week. It is very effective natural home remedy. 2. Eat three raw garlic cloves every day. One clove should be taken before brushing your teeth. This is very old and natural home

Spot the difference: harmless mole or potential skin cancer?
Back to the normal program after my indulgence on Australian birds, here's a valuable article on how to identify suspicious moles with a great deal of information on melanomas, the really scary skin cancers. Given our much higher risk of developing skin cancers, this is a topic we should all take very

Are you ever free of Thyroid cancer?
I was discharged from my oncologist a few weeks ago. Big celebration and relief. I then got to thinking, theoretically, if my thyroglobulin begins to rise, my thyroid beds begin to grow, that could be it back. I know my Thyroxine is keeping my metabolism ticking over, but as its a suppression med too

Cold climate is a risk factor for thyroid cancer
BACKGROUND The incidence of thyroid cancer has increased between 1988 and 2005. Some of this increase is likely due to an increase in diagnostic imaging studies, which would pick up small thyroid cancers that are not otherwise apparent. While the number of small thyroid cancers is increasing, so are

Lysine/Herpes(Cold sores) and RA
I was wondering if anyone has tried Lysine supplements for their RA? I came across a website (search David W Gregg and Rheumatoid arthritis) in which he gives a theory that RA is somehow related to the herpes/cold sore virus and he gives details of patients who took lysine which made their symptoms better

LDN - has anyone here used it?
Hi Everyone....Remember me? I am the one on 360-450 mcg of T3 and still severely hypo. So I came across an article on Lyme disease; it stated that the inflammation caused by Lyme's can block or downregulate T3 receptors. Not saying that I have Lyme (although it has been suggested that I check) but rather

The misery compounds.
I now have skin cancers all over skin that was exposed, for the years I lived in South Africa!!!! Most of them requiring skin grafts. Having Raynauds makes healing so slow, they're going septic, and taking months!!!!!!....

Anyhow, prior to my diagnosis I have had an on-going issue with lymphatic fluid and a nasty leg ulcer which was healed with

broke down and I am now going through differing dressings / compression to try and get it healed, as well as the ulcer
