Every time I came round Kerri Ann was there taking

Slight “man boob” after CABG
Hi - I am 68 - not overweight - (12stone - 5’ 8”) so not exactly lean and mean either! 😊 I had a double bypass using mammary gland and lower leg vein 11 months ago. Recovered really well - still a bit numb in left chest and lower leg areas but I have driven to and all over Spain 4 months after the op

8-year-old Charlie raises £1000s for other people with a visible difference
Charlie underwent emergency surgery where they used a
skin
graft
from his thigh for his nose. But because some of the skin was missing from his forehead, they couldn’t stitch them, which now means he’s been left with some wide scars on his head.

Looking for advice
Hi. New to this forum. I had a heart attack and CABG x3 last October. I've since completed a cardiac rehabilitation course. Is the Couch to 5k programme suitable for me? Any advice greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Online workouts
Hi All, So as we are all now self isolating and staying home as much as possible it means I can't go out on my CABG post op daily walks. Can anyone recommend any good online workouts (YouTube videos, online sites etc) I could do at home to keep my recovery on track please? Thanks Brian

Pacing Wires
Hi Guys I wonder if any of you have had issues with retained pacing wires after CABG? Today I have had sharp pain at the site where my pacing wires were cut flush to me skin just before discharge from the hospital. The pain gets worse when I bend. I get this pain from time to time but not always. My

Numb Thigh After Heart Bypass
Hi All, Bit odd this but after undergoing a double CABG a month ago I have noticed that my right thigh is partially numb with a reduced ability to feel anything (very similar to the left side of my chest which I was expecting). I didn't have any blood vessels harvested from my legs so it's not due to

Low muscle mass
Hi, I have been on a set dose that is as optimal as can be expected - for approx 2 years. Levaxin 150 mcg Liotyronin 5 mcg (+an extra 5 mcg once in a while, when my pulse goes down to mid-50s). My question is if anyone else has low muscle mass, and difficulty increasing muscle mass? Does anyone know

Fast heartbeat after triple CABG
I seem to be experiencing a really powerful fast heartbeat, I'm one week on from a triple bypass last Monday and was sent home Friday. I can't seem to slow it down, my booklet says if it lasts more than 2 hours then see my GP. Is this normal? I'm terrified it's not going to stop? Advice on how to slow

Melanoma
I have to have a further op with a wide excision and
skin
graft
to make sure it doesn’t recur. Of course it might already have spread and the future is uncertain. These days though the treatments for melanoma have vastly improved and survival times have been increased.
