Lip
I've had this too. It went away after a week but you might want to show GP.
I get these, too, and they do eventually go, but very painful when there. I have one in the corner of my lips at the moment and had for about a week. I use a natural lip balm from the health shop at night with hemp oil in it, it does help, but eating and cleaning teeth aggravates it so vicious circle. Nothing doctors can do, it seems, it is caused by herpes virus in body and only way is to support immune system, but then we have odd immune systems anyway. I just eat plenty of fruit and good food, no rubbish and drink plenty of water, too. There is a treatment you can get in the chemist for before the cold-sore comes out, but I haven't tried it due to my sensitivities especially my gut - blisteen or blisterine or something.
I take lysine supplements (health food store) and they work beautifully. I take over 1,000 mg when the sores in my mouth start appearing and if you nip them in the bud so to speak, they won't develop into painful sores. My rheumatologist agreed that lysine is the way to go.
