Wife getting MMR vaccine booster - isolate or not?
I'm an SLL patient, 55 years old, now about 2.5 years into remission after 6 FCR treatments. I just recovered from a recent (and thankfully mild) bout of shingles. My shingles was so mild that my GP wasn't convinced it actually was shingles! She had me tested for herpes zoster antibodies, and for good

nose rec onstruction
I recently had a successful procedure to remove an SCC from the right side of my nose. This meant that I also had about 50% of the right side also removed. I am waiting for 9 sessions of radiotherapy and when that is over and my skin has settled I then have to make a decision on future treatment: 1

Advice please...
My fibro always gets worse in cold weather so bath soaks are my best friends at the moment, however, my boiler and heating stopped working few days ago, I called my housing association and they fixed the heaters, but for hot water I was told its not considered emergency as you can boil kettles of water

PBC and nails / gel polish / acrylic
hi everyone, just a quick question.. I wondered has anyone had any issues with having their nails done with gel polish. I had to switch from gel polish to acrylic as my nails kept having a reaction to the gel - and often developed a fungal infection. Once I switched to acrylic they were much better

Someone was talking about skin cancer
and my friend had recently told me this concoction got rid of hers. I am not a doctor, I have not used this but my friend swears by it. One aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) crushed and an equal dab of psoriasis cream (salicylic acid) they're cousins both at dollar tree. NIH posted it. Mix together put

Graduated - again!
It is 15 months since I hobbled home with a calf strain when trying to re-do C25K after a
skin
cancer
diagnosis the previous year, 12 months since my breast cancer diagnosis and 5 months since I was advised to do only gentle exercise following a deep vein thrombosis in my leg.

Measles
With info about measles cases increases I wondered if anyone had experience of being vaccinated against measles since RA diagnosis. I thought I was vaccinated as a child (pre MMR vaccine) but GP doesn't have a record of it.Thanks in advance for any info

Measles outbreak
Hi, not sure if I'm being silly so looking for abit of reassurance. I'm on rituximab, azathioprine and prednisolone. I'm up-to-date with vaccinations bit concerned about the measles outbreak in my area. Am I at risk due to being immunocompromised?

cellulitis
I’ve been diagnosed today with cellulitis - never had it before and knew nothing about it so it’s all been a bit of a shock. I’ve been prescribed Flucloxacillin but unfortunately, by the time I was discharged from Urgent Care, the hospital pharmacy was closed so I can’t start them until the morning

CLL and skin cancer
The CLL webinar yesterday was all about various
skin
cancers and early warning signs. With blood
cancer
, we are more vulnerable. It was very interesting with different people discussing the treatment they had had.

Myths
Cumulative exposure to UVA causes cell damage, contributes to the development of
skin
cancer
and is also responsible for around 80% of the visible signs of ageing... That’s why dermatologists recommend wearing sun protection, daily, all-year-round!

Some clarification on just how much cover I need from the sun please?
I just wondered if my skin is more vulnerable to burning now I’m on Hydrea or is the importance on just not getting sunburned where I will increase my risk of
skin
cancer
with Hydrea? I know burning will increase my risk of
skin
cancer
.
