Skin cancer

My husband's haematologist is treating the CLL and skin cancer separately, telling us that treating the CLL will have no impact on the progression of the skin cancer.

I have been checking the side effects and one is increase risk of skin cancer. I have already had two basal cell carcinomas removed. Im obviously worried about this . Has anyone else had this type of problem? Thanks for any help.

Was recently diagnosed with basal cell skin cancer on the bridge of my nose. Also have another suspicious spot on the end of the nose. Going to have a Mohs procedure on the bridge coming up Has anyone else been through this?

And that was it, nothing else, no here’s what to expect/what to do in future, just, you’ve got skin cancer, here’s some cream. Is this what the NHS is now? I know they’re struggling, but this seems beyond scant when there’s ‘cancer’ in the diagnosis. I have an update which I’ll post separately.

He was very thorough, examined the lesion and my glands, told me in his opinion the lesion was no longer ‘in situ’ and had penetrated deeper into the skin and that the only option was to cut it out, not to use the cream they’d sent me.

I've read that, for patients will CLL, the most prevalent secondary cancer that emerges is skin cancer. Just wondering if anybody out there has developed skin cancer as a secondary cancer to CLL and how you're doing. Thank You, Everyone. And the best of health to you all in 2025.

As mentioned I don't tolerate Hydroxycarbomide and I have recently had a basal cell carcinoma removed - had to have a skin graft 😫 so they won't put me back on that as I was told it can increase skin cancer risk (btw they believe the BCC could be a result of being on Azathioprine for sarcoid that increased

Sorry I've been so long getting back to you guys but I also ended up being sent to a skin cancer doctor for a biopsy before removal and a skin graft and I've been so very overwhelmed at all this happening in such a short time.

At around the same time I started getting multiple lesions on my face; some were cancerous and required skin grafts, some were not. At my last appointment with the plastic surgeon I asked why I keep getting lesions and he put it down to the CLL; is he right?

I’ve had breast cancer, skin cancer CLL and now this. I feel like giving up but my son gets married in November, I want to be there. Give me strength.
