Well I did my W9R3 this morning, and I am soooo proud of myself.
It is 15 months since I hobbled home with a calf strain when trying to re-do C25K after a skin cancer diagnosis the previous year, 12 months since my breast cancer diagnosis and 5 months since I was advised to do only gentle exercise following a deep vein thrombosis in my leg.
But do you know what? I have come through all of that by setting myself the simple goal of running for 30 minutes again and then keeping to a routine of running 3 times a week.
So here I am, a graduate again, and feeling fitter than I have for a long time. And mentally? I feel fantastic, nothing is going to beat me, and I am confident that I could conquer the world! (If I wanted to, of course!)
Running is great isn’t it!
