FM or another additional condition?
I do suffer from FM diagnosed in Dec 2009 after I started suffering completely numb feet and
shin
splints
during my usual long runs I had long standing problems in my neck/shoulders and right elbow, shoulder blade and wrists.

Third time is a charm, right?
Struck by
shin
splints
and bad knees I just couldn't do it. Fast forward a year, being 18lbs lighter I decided to give the plan another go, making it to week 7 this time. I never thought I'd be able to run for 25 minutes, but I had literally never felt better.

I am at the end of week 7, and have developed shin pain which is probably shin splints. I really don't want to stop running, what can I do?
I went for a gait analysis and bought proper running shoes weeks ago. I have been running on grass, but ran on the track at the beginning of the week, which I think caused the pain.

Cellulitis or not!!!!
Woke up this morning and my arm was painful and swollen. Put my sleeve on and tried to carry on as normal. By lunch time it was really painful so took sleeve off and realised it was now very red!!! I rang the breast care nurse and she sent me straight to my Doc who has prescribed Antibiotics. She said

PMR and Lyme disease?
Does anyone have any information on the connection between PMR and Lyme disease? It seems to be a suspected cause especially in America, I live in Africa and have had the local version, Tick Bite Fever. My Rheumy ruled out Tick Bite Fever as a cause but then said he didn't know what caused PMR!

My Melanoma Story.
My name is Mark Carter I am aged 55 and live in North Lincolnshire with my lovely wife Liz and 3 Cats, we have been happily married for 29 years. I was first diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma 13 5 years ago, when I noticed an irregular shaped mole on the right side of my upper chest and went to see

Certolizumab Pegol (Cimzia)
I'm having my 2nd DAS assessment in 4 weeks but it's looking very likely that I will come off leflunomide but remain on injected MXT and start this anti-TNF drug (my first). I know everyone is different but I would be interested to hear some experiences about it; side effects, how long it took to work

I've done it! I've run 5k!! Yippeeeee!!
It's been a long time coming since I started this program in about August last year, but what with house moves and
shin

it's not been easy and to be honest running 5k seemed like a distant dream last year!

Dry skin question
Do emollient creams like Cetraben, which are made from a mixture of white soft paraffin and liquid paraffin, cause long term damage to your skin and eventually make the skin even drier please? If so does anyone recommend a natural emollient for very dry sensitive skin (fragrance and perfume free).

Hi, I'm new here
Hi glad to have found this community. Im 29 years old (was 28 at the time) I was in ICU for 15 days total. Here is my story, will try to keep it brief! In October 2012 my baby was born at home, everything was perfect. The following day I started with a pain in my left side. Midwife checked me, said

5 x 50 Challenge - nearing the end
I must admit I have found the 5 x 50 challenge difficult for a number of reasons a) family & work commitments b)
shin
splints
that meant I couldn't run for the 3/4 of the challenge I am behind on the challenge so I have 50 km to do in 7 days but I am determined I'm going to do it.
