Hi , I have never heard of it, been Hypo for nearly thirty years, undiagnosed for a long time. Have you tried a good chiropodist, often they are better on feet. Also is your circulation good? have you been tested for diabetes?, autoimmune and hormonal, similar symptoms to thyroid at first.. Do they feel very cold, Sjogrens syndrome is possible if circulation is bad.

Sorry, all I can think of.

Best wishes,

Jackie

I dont think i have any other condition apart from being hypo, i wonder if it may be due to a vitamin deficiency though?

Hi I was in a rush. as usual. The other testes that are essential with thyroid, apart from TH,4 and Free T3 for the correct treatment. Are vit D ( a hormone, not really a vit at all)If low, a corrected calcium test as must be in range before treatment, re test 3 months.Diabetes, similar symptoms as thyroid, to start with, except "funny feet".B12 + Foliates ( needs to be high in range), iron/ Fettin needs to be high in range. These all effect the thyroid and are closely related If autoimmune thyroid disease,Most is), then need repeating every year. .If, finger nails "horny" then LFT`s ( liver function) tests. usually very obvious, even before the LFT`s alter.

I hope that gives you some ideas. Incidentally I am underweight, my only symptoms originally of diabetes was "funny "feet, which no one seemed able to diagnose! Also with thyroid good to take the very best vit and mineral tablet daily, assorted ,so need to read up carefully!

Best wishes,

Jackie

I noticed the whites of my fingernails nails having a yellowish tinge for a while but i hadn't changed my medication so hadn't associated it with my UAT. They're white again now so whatever it was has now righted itself, hope yours does too?

Did they improve on medication? I havent started tablets yet so wonder if my nails may improve after taking the medication and my levels are stable?

No in my case I really don't think it was my UAT as I've been under-active for years and then this came on out of the blue and also righted itself without me doing anything! There must've been some blip going on in my body re this but I've honestly no idea what it was, but I just wanted you to know that it did improve. x
