Skin cancers and area where I live.
I have had, (too numerous to count), basal cell, squamous, melanoma, even a leiomyosarcoma tumor on the top of my nose removed. It has come to be, I am sorry to say, a regular norm for me. Yes I do not avoid the sun but try to be smart about it. I live near the beaches in NW Florida and have summer

Skin graft.
I suffer from skin cancer, and yesterday I had a biopsy taken from a growth on my forehead, it's the size of a 50p piece, I fully expect that this will have to be removed, but my question is I do not want to have a skin graft, I am 72yrs old and no oil painting the fact that I will have a scar after

To run or not to run?
But since my previous months of
shin
splints
I don't want to push it! Any helpful tips appreciated.. My weekly mileage last week was 15k. (6.5+4.2+4.3). If I did a twenty min run and another 30 min run this week it would roughly be 16k (9+3+4), two 30 mins probably 17k. Bit of a jump?

Changing to Armour from Levothyroxine
On the advice of my nutritionist, I asked and persuaded my G.P. to switch me from Levo to Armour Thyroid but I've read a few other messages on here now about doing a gradual switch over and even a split dosage. I have been taking my normal dose of Levo ....50mcg a day because I was unsure how long it

Chicken pox
I have had PMR for about a year, I have read that we should avoid contact with anyone who has chicken pox. The virus is going round the school I work in. I definitely had chicken pox as a child - will my antibodies protect me or should I be careful?

Stevia better for Lyme than antibiotics? How much more can nature give us without dreadful risks?
In the late 90's I got my first Stevia when visiting family in the US... used it for porridge and where needed in place of sugar. Once hypothyroidism diagnosed, decade+ later, I was so happy not to have been using sugar. I enjoyed stevia [particularly granulated], certainly good enough as a sweetener

The Old Trout has done it!!!
Then I thought I was getting
shin
splints
and then one knee began to click. These gremlins go to such low cheating lengths to make you give up! Then I was certain Laura's watch had stopped. Then I couldn't care less because I realised my pace was in time to the music! Good stuff, eh?

Temporarily stopping Ibrutinib
I have been fortunate enough to be on the fabulous Ibrutinib for just over a year, and it has brought my Lymphocyte count down from 252 to 5. Small victories
Today I ran 3km (I'm recovering from
shin
splints
so no long distances at the mo) with an average pace of 6.41 a km. Last 2 parkruns have seen me get PBs.

Why am I suddenly struggling with C25K?
I've had some pain in my shins since about week 2 that I've put down to
shin
splints
and hoping it clears up on its own. (its not that bad) However today I attempted Week 7 Day 1. 5 minutes in I was so done. Laura helpfully was like "you should be getting into a good pace now, keep going!"

Lyme disease
Wow this has been quite the experience. So I just found out from an early blood test in July 2015 that i had several reactive bands from a Lyme IgM and Igg western blot, but never tested definitively positive for Lyme according to the U.S. standards. I am now taking doxycycline for 3 days (400mg/day)

Chicken pox
Is it true that being near a child with chicken pox can have a serious affect on someone with pmr. I remember my gp saying something about it when I was first diagnosed almost two years ago. I'm only asking because my sister brought her granddaughter for a visit last week and the little one kept saying
