Bumps in the Road? More like a crevasse!
Today I am four weeks past my first ablation for PAF. In the first week, I had the expected bumps in the road to recovery, with short runs of AF and a couple of longer sessions of tachycardia (I use a Kardia device). None of them lasted very long, and the AF ones in particular were susceptible to being

Potential Covid-2019 vaccine side effect
I would like to know if any of our MS colleagues had any long lasting (more than a month) diarrhea symptom following mRNA (Pfizer) Covid-2019 vaccine. I am 68 years old, MS diagnosed 6 years ago, under daily Copaxon injection DMT therapy. For decades I suffered from constipation and recently I started

Hello - I’m new and have questions.
Hi Everyone, I’m new here and very grateful for this group and information. I joined because after doing some research - I suspect I may possibly have PBC - even though my gastroenterologist suspects AIH (autoimmune hepatitis) instead. I would greatly appreciate your insights. I am a 65 year old female

Proteinuria: How long can it be controled?
If we have proteinuria and lower it with bp meds, what is the average rate that it comes back? Can it stay down indefinately? In a 24 hr urine test it dropped from 569 total to 115 after taking 2.5 mg of lisinopril for a month. I have stage 3a CKD. and I'm 56. I eat low protein and low salt. Mostly

recent hospitalization
My husband gets a lot of mucus in his throat . Yesterday he began choking and although he was getting alot of the mucus coughed up, it just kept coming. He was having a very hard time breathing thru all this, so I call the ambulance, who took him to the hospital. After a few hours in the emergency

Success after Hysteroscopy??
Hello everyone, this year has been rough so I’m hoping to hear some success stories. I had 2 FET’s in the spring, neither of them took so my doctor brought me in for a saline ultrasound and uterine biopsy, they weren’t able to complete the ultrasound because there was some sort of blockage. I was then

A never ending nightmare
A hot sleepless night, I sipped water, turned my pillow, rinsed my face, hands and arms in cold water and dripped dry in front of the fan. Finally at 7am I felt myself drifting off. 7.32am 'ping' my mobile phone (cursing myself for not setting it to silent) I blearily checked. Dr's wanting a drug

Scientists identify protein that could serve as a therapeutic target in lung cancer.
Using preclinical models of lung cancer driven by p53 GOF mutations, Deb and his research team discovered that PLK3 activates an amino acid called
serine
20 (S20), a cellular building block they found to play an important role in cancer cell replication. https://www.masseycancercenter.org/news/Massey-scientists-identify-protein-that-could-serve-as-therapeutic-target-in-lung-cancer

Cortisol tests
Hi everyone! Haven't done yet cortisol saliva this year. But made others at first. Are there optimal levels for morning blood cortisol? My test came back 16,2 mcg/dl with range 4,30-22,40 (8am). And 24-hour urine test 149,4 (58-403). Other tests of ACTH and aldosterone are still to come.

Can PD get better?
So I also take cinnamon, phosphatidyl
serine
, Super B-complex, Vitamin D, Green tea capsules, fish oil, a statin, CoQ10, baby aspirin, miralax, dulcolax, tylenol and melatonin. Some of these are for PD and some are for elevated cholesterol and some are for hemorrhoids and constipation.

Awaiting diagnosis
Hello, I’ve just come across this group and I’m feeling hopeful I can get some reassurance and advice. Apologies for the long post but this is my story so far… I’m a 36 year old woman. On Fathers Day I went to my local A&E department because I was experiencing eye pain in my left eye. I was assessed

Reduced Carb Diet and a Little Weight Loss is Reducing My Blood Lipids and Liver Inflammation Markers
At this time a I also tried a concoction of neutraceuticals that was being trialed by a Swedish NAFLD researcher, including NAC,
Serine

CAR-T follow-up at City of Hope for Prostate Cancer to Bone
They pulled me back into City of Hope hospital with high Iron levels after a CAR-T discharge from hospital. Treatment started working, lowering my PSA from 60 to 50, but high Ferritin (Iron) hit 6000 indicated t-cells could start attacking non-cancer places it shouldn't attack. Dr calmed it down with

UTI Issue?
Hi, For about three weeks I have suffered from discomfort in my lower abdomen, the only way I can describe is that it’s a stinging like feeling. Sometimes this goes away and the tip of my penis feels uncomfortable instead. I also get lower back discomfort. I have times during the day when I have to
