Worrying reaction to something
Ive had frequent episodes in which my face turns red, have slight swelling in nose and cheeks, feel a bit hot and bothered and generally unwell. On three occasions, these were accompanied by extreme fatigue and some aches and shivers really knocking me out for a couple of days. Ive had the milder episodes

Mirena Coil and autoimmune disease link?
Hi there, I had a lap and excision for endo last year where I also had a Mirena coil fitted during the procedure. Long story short- since the op, I have developed a whole host of strange symptoms... a malar rash (but not testing pos. in bloods for SLE lupus), worsening aches and pains in joints, palpitations

He sent me off for X-rays, ultrasound, several different blood tests and a urine sample all of which were done today He said that he wants me to reduce from

I have very recently been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, the cough is particularly troublesome. I want to ask is a nebuliser something that would help me, I would just be looking at mist inhalation of either saline or straight water. Thank you

Conflicting advice.
I am very confused with conflicting advise. I have Paroxysmal A.Fib. The 1st was in April 2014 and I think was caused by a very nasty respiratory virus. I’ve ha the 2nd episode in June 2017, possibly caused by a urine infection which took 2 different antibiotics to shift it and 3rd one on Dec 10th

3 year old with odd symptoms!
Hi there! 1 month ago my 3 year old son came down with an ear infection. They put him on Cefdinir. They swabbed him for strep and it was negative but they sent it off to culture. It came back a week later without strep but positive for MSRA. He had no symptoms so we didn't treat. Then a week and half

Update on kidneys and other stuff
Afternoon everyone, Sorry this might be a long one! Following on from my previous post (see link) I’ve had some progress with the doctors - I think? I thought if I ran it past you maybe it would all make a little more sense 🤞🏼 Here’s my previous post - https://healthunlocked.com/lupusuk/posts/142404359

I have mild bronchiectasis but been coughing up spots of red blood. Should I be worried?
Not the first time I have seen spots off red blood in my sputum but its been happening more frequent now. Is the weather being bitterly cold a contributory factor? I nebulise with saline solution. Any advice/comments/suggestions please. Best wishes to all

Endo and bladder issues
Was diagnosed through laparoscopy in October 2019. Pain and symptoms have been the same since. I had one endo patch excised and one ablated. It was done at a specialist endo Centre by a specialist surgeon in the North West. They didn’t give me a follow up appointment or even see me after. Just sent me

TOO FUNNY NOT TO PASS ON!! How Do Court Reporters Keep Straight Faces? These are from a book called Disorder in the Courts and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while the exchanges were taking place

Should I see a kidney doctor?
Hello everyone, Im new here and I have some questions about my GFR results. My GP found I have weak kidneys on routine tests and he had me retake them 3 months later. On the follow up I had improvement at 71 GFR (June 2019). I think I remember him doing a urine test too and he said it was good (no excessive

Day 9 - concerns on step backwards...
I’ve been very happy with the healing progress I’ve been making (and have previous posts on profile showing this) but have had a bit of a turn for worse in last 48 hours or so. The “ring” below the glans has been getting very swollen on the left side. Furthermore the area has generally become very scabby

Having to go off NDT after several years and back on levo only - how to explain it?
It contains holy basil, ashwangdha, rhodiola rosea and L-
serine
, along with vits B, C and selenium. Since I started it, I notice feeling less agitated and I can now fall asleep at night and sleep through the night.
