Silicone or saline implants?
I am 60+ and had a double mastectomy and will have reconstruction. Looking for insight between saline or silicone implants. Is one more comfortable in the body? Any problems with either? If you had to choose again, which one would you choose and why? Thank you in advance

How do I go for a FULL [I mean full!!] Medical Check up?
I am 64 years of age, many medical problems over the years, in fact that is my problem, one problem supposedly solved, yes you've guessed it another comes up! It has been like this from ten years old when I had meningitis, from then on life has been downhill. I am very tired of being wracked up for

What would you do?
I’ve had an ache in my mid back, near the bottom of my ribs, for more than a year now, which (I think) was CT scanned by the gastro team because I have chronic acid reflux and unexpected low B12 too. I’ve recently had a ‘slightly abnormal ‘ eGFR result too, at 84, and a trace of leukocytes in my urine

Circumcision Complications: 47 days post op, Bleeding Meatus & Cystoscopy!
Hope everyone is well and recovering strong. I just want to post an update about my circumcision journey so far, as i have gone through the wars, the reasoning for the op is niche and i hope to ease any anxieties if you are going through something similar. So on the 5th Mar i underwent a circumcision

Saline scan???
Hi all, I had my first ivf appointment last week via video call, the doctor said I need to have a saline scan done, has anyone had this before? I’ve had HSG before just wondered if this was different? I’ve got my appointment next week for this. X

Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
Hi, Has anyone had this? I had HA two years ago, on meds. Earlier this year thought I had Shingles, progressed to looking like Chicken Pox, although I’ve had Chicken Pox and apparently you can’t have it twice. Rash increased until I was blue lighted from gp surgery last week. Apparently it can be a reaction

Trying to stay positive
Did my first urine test yesterday as recommended by clinic as was 16 days after starting injections and it came back with a BFN 🙁. Wednesday is exactly 14days after transfer day so going to test again then with a blood test this time to see if any different as my boobs are still very tender, I’m still

Foamy urine
I know that this subject has probably been covered at length here, but thought I would ask anyway. I have foamy urine most of the time. Sometimes it looks like there was some dish washing soap in the water, as the foam is VERY pronounced. At my last nephrology appointment, I did a urine sample where

Left sided abdominal tightness/discomfort
For over a week I have had a sensation of tightness under my ribs, slightly left of centre. This became very painful accompanied by nausea at the weekend. Went to hospital. Observations normal. Bloods all reassuringly normal. Urine test normal. Nothing palpable. Was sent home and advised to take analgesia

Implantation bleeding, no period, negative test
Went off birth control almost 6 months ago. Last period started March 6th, I was due to start my period April 9th but instead only had extremely light spotting (light pink) for 3 or 4 days but never started period. Have never missed a period before unless I was pregnant. Almost time for my next period

update on soreness after injections
I asked members here about washing out with saline after injections recently as I had started getting keratitis ( severe inflammation / inability to tolerate light/ pain) after last two lots of injections ( I have had 38 now) in both eyes. Studies were vague about whether washing iodine out after injection

Clinical Trial
I've recently received an invitation to take part in a clinical trial being run by Leeds University. They are studying the possible reasons certain individuals contract PMR and GCA. I've had PMR now for over 3 years and I had an episode of GCA during this period that resulted in me loosing most

Saline sonogram after miscarriage
I recently had a missed miscarriage with my first fresh transfer, and I opted for surgical management. Today in my consultation ahead of my first FET, the consultant recommended a saline sonogram /cavity check before I do my first frozen transfer, as anyone else recommended this, or does anyone have

Drs appointment
Just had the most invalidating consultation with the Dr and feel very frustrated! Told him that whenever I’ve had a drink I feel bad pain and sciatica down my left leg and feel like I need a wee after like 10 minutes and he told me it’s impossible that the pain is from drinking because the drink goes

The coronavirus S protein mediates viral entry into target cells employing the host cellular
serine
protease TMPRSS2 for S-protein priming. The TMPRSS2 gene expression is responsive to androgen stimulation and it could partially explain sex differences.
