How to start taking Liothyronine (T3)?
So I've been on 75mcg of Levothyroxine since June 2016 and I was diagnosed as hypothyroid 16 years ago. My symptoms have been getting worse and worse. I've been to see Professor C in London and Dr P and they both think that Levothyroxine on its own isn't working. Professor C is being more cautious probably

Soy Oil in Selenium Supplement - Cause of Muscle Pain At Night?
I'm still learning about everything hypo and only just got a prescription from GP for levo, had BH blood tests which indicate Hashi's. So, in my quest to get me feeling good again and in anticipation of levo, I am like most people on here, looking at diet (harsh GF) and taking supplements to get levels

Disappointed and frustrated with doctors and Progesterone for heavy periods?
I went to see a London Endo Professor a few days ago as a second follow up appointment. He was the on the TUK list but response I got from him was largely disappointing. I think he's cautious to recommend any thyroid treatment because he thinks it won't produce enough benefit. Other than high cortisol

Type 2 Diabetes & Hashis
I have been posting a lot this week, but wanted to share this. I have been treated for Type 2 Diabetes for about 4 years, with Metformin. I was originally on two doses of 500mg a day (1,000mg), which my Dr increased to 2000mg a day last year. I found out this week that my B12 is insufficient and that

Selenium & the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition.
New study below. {Recap: the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition [EMT] is implicated in metastasis & treatment resistance.} It always seems strange to me when a micronutrient is given to men without regard to the status of the nutrient in the body. However, the men were Dutch & (unlike the U.S. & Canada
