Subclinical, being baselined (awaiting tests), trying alt therapies; don't want to interfere with diagnosis (chronic migraine/malaise)
Hello, I have just joined and I am having my thyroid baselined after a TSH of 5.5 and a T4 of 14.5 (thereabouts, TSH just over upper limit T4 was low end) I am in the UK. My dr was prompted to test because of numbness in foot and tingling along with head and neck pain accompanying my chronic migraine

Confused. TSH lower, FT4 higher but FT3 dropped to below range
Thanks to the advice from here, i got my levo raised to 50mg 6 weeks ago but the new results have confused me. I was diagnosed Hashimotos in the summer of 2016 with sky high antibodies but didn't get medicated until October. Back then my TSH was 4.3 and FT4 was 13.57. My B12 was 301 and vit d was 88

Selenium and iodine testing
I have just been told by my gp that you cannot get your iodine and selenium tested on the NHS is this correct? Also I had asked for leaky gut to be looked at. She told me she hadnt heard of It, then I mentioned it was strongly linked to hasimoto so she Googled it and said oh you don't need that and

Iodine and Hashis
I have hashi (both lots of antiboidies) last reading for anti- thyroglobin was nearly 3000 so very high. I recently tried a thyroid support supplement containing iodine and selenium, and only took one tab at lunch time, I was terribly sick and had upset tum within an hour, really severe reaction.

Thoughts on my labs?
Interested in your thoughts on my labs... I have Hashimotos, am on gluten free diet, my vitamin D, folate, and B12 are all high normal and selenium and iodine are normal. Ferritin is high, but due to other issues. My adrenals are a work in progress, am on hydrocortisone, adrenal support, and appropriate

What supplements?
I've recently watched a really informative video by Dr Brad Shook. It showed how the thyroid works & what is needed to make it work effectively. I already had a pretty good idea of this but found the video really useful. I haven' posted it as I'm not sure if I'm allowed but it's easy enough to find

Selenium Toxicity
I've noticed that a lot of members are recommending selenium haphazardly. While it's true that selenium can possibly help, too much selenium can be very toxic. Common signs of toxicity are hair loss, nail discolouration. Selenium treatment NEEDS to be done along side labs and with the help of a qualified

Endo today..........
So I saw my Endo this morning. She is sooooo full on its like you get shoved into a washing Machine and then chucked out at the end! She is also lovely, said I was still very ill and she's not surprised I feel like such a wreck. As predicted she has 'upped' me to 150 of Levo and said she thinks I will

Please help - I feel like I am losing myself thanks to my thyroid!
Hi All, I hope you are all well!! I was diagnosed with having a slight blip with my Thyroid back in August last year... I was told to start 25mg of Thyroxine, I was told by my doctor that I was not deficient and lacking in Iron/B12 but the thyroxine would just be the right thing to give me that little
