Has anyone tried Campath?
Hi, I'm trialling Campath at the moment to try to put me in remission with my Bechets. At the moment I feel so poorly and I'm worried about going in for my second round as my first didn't work due to an infection. I'm scared but trying to be positive that this time round will be the right treatment and

Skin cancer ??
On the top of my chest I have a small flesh coloured raised lump. It's been there for a good three maybe more years. I've been reading up online and it's said it's skin cancer?? I remember showing my GP once and she said it looks like a skin lesion or a scar and told me not to worry?

I do NOT want an abortion!
I already have three children & three step children with my partner. Both of our older children have autism & mine also has life long rare health problems. The six children combined are all under the age of 13. The relationship has problems, I am a victim of child sexual abuse with a very recent conviction

Ablation day 3
Not much to say really. Heart makes an occasional jump, particularly when I'm tired. Nothing compared to what it was. Plenty of energy, but have to be careful with the scar, which is itchy, so must be healing OK. PS it's a bit weird not feeling my heartbeat. I got used to feeling it pounding most of

Travelling from abroad
Unfortunately, in Brazil there´s no way I can have a legal abortion. So, I thought about travelling to the UK so that I can do the procedure. I am very certain that I want to terminate this pregnancy. In the website (BPAS), I learned people from other countries can have a abortion in the UK, if I pay

The coil. I'm sceptical!
In January I was told that I needed emergency surgery because my organs were fused, 5 moths later I get my date for 22nd May. With 22 days to go I need to make my mind up about the coil. I initially said yes, but with having so much pain, I would have said yes to anything! Has anyone had any experience

Expired implanon, am I pregnant?
My implanon has been expired since February of this year. In the last 2 years my periods had stopped completely on it which I heard can be common but even though it has expired they still have not returned. I had unprotected sex early this month but my partner withdrew long before ejaculating. I took

So surgery...
It seems that after about 4 years I'll need to fuse my ankle. Unfortunately the subtler joint fusion I received in August didn't fuse all the way and the infection I got in November and second surgery in December to remove the screws didn't help. I recently just got a steroid shot (again) and of course

Post laparoscopy
Did anyone have any pain when going for a wee after laparoscopy? Feels like there is something in the way for all the wee to come out and it's hurts near my belly button scar. Also have been going a lot more feels like I constantly have a full bladder, then when I go it's only a little and it hurts?

Adhesions spoiling my life
Following 2 caesarian deliveries 30 years ago, a fall down the stairs and lifting heavy furniture I have suffered intermittent pain from adhesions for the last 5 years and it now rules my life. The doctors at my surgery don't seem to know anything about adhesions and they don't show up on ultrasound

Better consenting for thyroidectomy: who has an increased risk of postoperative hypocalcaemia?
How very right it is that patients should be assessed as well as possible, and that consent should be properly detailed and accurate. The possibility of reducing further the risks is definitely a laudable aim. [i]Eur Arch Otorhinolaryngol. 2016 Dec;273(12):4437-4443. Epub 2016 May 20.

BCC back again
Last September I had BCC rodent ulcer removed from my knee. I have noticed that what I thought was only a spot on my nose, might actually be a BCC again. It doesn't heal over completely. I have a feeling that it's another BCC. Because of the location (on my nose) I'm reluctant to get it removed. I scar
