Cambridge Half - 02/03/24 - anyone in it and Q about the route!
Hi VRBs I am, I hope,
running
the Cambridges Half on 2nd March - is anyone else taking part? I managed 10 Miles today and am pleased that preparation seems to be going smoothly. Re the event itself, the organisers circulated route info this week.

A new experience - running with someone else
Okay, this morning I had a new
running
experience. I have been
running
for three years, and apart from run-walking with my husband (I run, he walks), I have never run with anyone else.

My question is, am I
running
away from something? I always feel like my time should be utilized more meaningfully and every minute I should be doing something to "fix" my problems. Am I making the most out of my life or

Beautiful morning and a lovely treat on the creek
Today was the first time I wore my
running
gloves this autumn /winter, it’s definitely getting colder. I’d much rather have it crisp and cold than wet and windy any day. Visiting Bruges has definitely got me in the 🎄spirit! 🙂

Toe nail injury
I don’t think I’ll be
running
for at least a couple of weeks surely - certainly can’t until the damaged nail comes off. Does anyone have any tips or experiences to share?

ICD and Driving
With a new tablet regime (dapagliflozin and entresto) and an angioplasty, things have significantly improved (awaiting results of echocardiogram to assess recovery - but my
running
times are back to where they were 10 years ago). However, the electro-cardiologist still recommends an ICD.

JULY QUEST 2024 - Week 1, time to run 😎🏃♀️💨
By limiting myself to shorter 3km runs I was able to keep
running
regularly. For this month I want to build on that consistency and also to get some longer runs in. I’m going away mid-month though so not sure how that’ll affect things.

Pacs, Please Go Away !
I’m kind or worried, many questions
running
thru my mind. Did the ablation fail, do I need a third one, will these pacs kill me or shorten my life. Will they go away……. If it’s not one thing , it’s another . Just getting fed up.

Almorr 3rd Half marathon
Last year when I ran my 2nd half marathon in memory of the late great Tim I thought to myself that I would run one more next year in 2023, so I ran my 3rd HM this morning, of course it wasn't all
running
, I ran the first 3K and last 3K, in between it was 1K run, 1K walk, altogether I completed that HM

A peaceful place
Animals
running
and playing wild and free. Waterfalls and shallow streams. It's just a place I imagined but there is no anxiety there. I want to go to this place. I want to go home.

A bit chilly
I told myself I'd soon warm up when I started
running
. We reached the fields. The path had dried out a lot since Wednesday, two days without rain meant we had a nice hard mud surface which was reasonably smooth.

Some days it’s just not meant to be…
I’d decided to use the NRC 30 min headstart run (and just keep
running
to 50 mins), and had my extended route planned out. Off I went, first 10 minutes went fine with Coach Bennett asking mindful questions every 2 mins, then I stopped to cross the road. The NRC app paused but didn’t restart.
