Baseline transit study
Hi , I’m having a baseline transit study on Friday & the consultant has let me carry on with the laxatives but has said to stop the Prucalopride, so he can hopefully get a better idea of what is happening in my colon . I’m expecting things to slow & get bunged up and wondered if you needed to request

Pelvic discomfort
Does anyone feel pressure sometimes in their left side of pelvic area? Not sure if it’s ibs playing up or ovary/endometriosis. Started after I had a bout of diarrhoea at the weekend. Only a one off episode. Obviously these things make me anxious and think I over think it all.

I lost my brother 2 weeks ago... If I should say honestly he means the world to me Im so close to him... I love my brother so much. 4 years before he met with an accident caused him major traumatic brain injury. He was in coma for that particular 4 years especially in persistent vegatiive state. My family

Hello everyone… I’m worried my Tirosint dose is too high, has anyone experienced bruising on fingertips ( without having hurt my hand… it seems to be internal! ). Is it a blood pressure problem…? Any advice appreciated! 🙏❤️

Toilet training issues Vs constipation
Seriously at my wits end. We're waiting for a consultation with bladder and bowels service, but my four year old son's soiling is still happening multiple times a day and has been ever since we started toilet training over 18 months ago. Nothing works. He's on movicol twice a day, toilet routine etc

Implant improves Balance, Movement and Quality of Life to people with Inner Ear Disorder
Getting around without the need to concentrate on every step is something most of us can take for granted because our inner ears drive reflexes that make maintaining balance automatic. However, for about 1.8 million adults worldwide with bilateral vestibular hypofunction (BVH) — loss of the inner ears

New to this and very anxious!
I am increasingly anxious about whether or not I have IBS (or something like IBD?). I have been struggling to register with a GP due to recently moving house and apparently they have too much work to get around to registering new patients, meaning I can only access healthcare via the emergency care routes

Smoothie to relieve constipation
Hi, I used to get constipation pretty regularly but after a lot of reading and experimenting I came up with the following which has worked wonders for me. Smoothie Half a frozen banana, 1 cup of frozen broccoli, small bowl of hot porridge, prune juice and orange juice and blend It is actually very tasty

Accidents at school
My 4 year old recently started school and has been having 1 or 2 accidents most days though he did have one day this week with no accidents. At the end of the summer we disimpacted and then settled on a maintenance dose of 2 sachets of movicol and I don’t think he is constipated any more - we are no

Filling in the blanks
Spoke to my mum again at length about my road accident and my injuries. She told me I were extremely lucky to survive as I needed urgent surgery after I'd been hit and I was unconscious throughout the ordeal they kept me in intensive care to monitor the bleed on my head..I knew none of this until today

Scar revision surgery
What’s the best treatment for a lateral abdomen scar. I am thinking of having scar revision surgery for a lateral abdomen scar post emergency splenectomy. I’m told the scar is “pretty neat” but as a young Indian female. It is extremely difficult to overcome, give the transition dress shows the midriff

Any suggestions on how to help a 4 year old use the toilet in school, when he refuses to if he is not with his parents ?
I have a 4 year old son, who has just started school reception and for the last year was in the school nursery (age 3 till age 4) Whilst in school he will not use the school toilets. He will only use the toilet when at home with me or my husband, or he will sometimes use toilets and the potty when

Pred causing thin skin. Bleeding gums?
I have been on Pred for PMR for more than 2 years, now reduced to 2mg. For about the same length of time I have suffered with very thin skin which bruises or bleeds very easily, e.g from a rose thorn. For about the same period, my dentist and hygienist have commented on my bleeding gums. These are
