Pregnancy after Transplants
Good morning all, has anyone had a baby after receiving their new Kidney? If so, did they consider you high risk, were you out in bed rest at anytime, etc. My husband and I were blessed to have our first child while on dialysis. They put me on bed rest in the hospital at 23 weeks until she was born.

Freaked out my surgical recommendation.. really want advice from women who understand!
Hi guys. Well I got my MRI results last week. Consultant wants to cut out a 4-5inch section of my bowel, by the sigmoid colon cos it is severely adhered to uterus, ovary and pouch of douglas. He also wants to remove my left ovary as it is stuck to uterus and is in wrong place, contorting uterine ligaments

Would appreciate advice on peri menopause
I was wondering if anyone has gone through (peri) menopause without any relief whatsoever, no matter what you tried? For the past few months, my symptoms have been getting worse and worse. I will turn 49 in December and periods have gone from being regular to erratic (anything from 21 to 36 days between

My Testimony
Hello all, I had been on dialysis for 6 1/2 years before being blessed with a Kidney Transplants on July 8, 2015. My kidneys shut down from FSGS which means that something inside my kidney attacked itself and caused them to shut down. This is how my doctors explained it to me. I have no history of diabetes

Back Pain
Does any have any remedy for back pain? It’s kind of making me a little anxious. I understand that I’m supposed to limit bed rest and if possible I want to still continue exercising without causing more strain. I’ve tried yoga for back pain and it helps a little.Does anyone have any other methods that

Hi, I'm New here
Morning all this is my first post. I was diagnosed with Severe Heart Disease last November (2016) after having severe chest pains which I ignored for some time (not my best decision). I had all the tests and was told I have unstable Angina and had 2 stents fitted. Two weeks ago the chest pains started

2nd Opinion Sidelined
Well, the best laid plans of mice and men have come to roost. I was all set to search out a 2nd opinion when it was discovered that I have fractured a rib. Lots of home bed rest, a sports bra that zips in the front, and just plain rest. I'm even moe disappointed that it was mentioned in the last ST report

Ablation number 3 is 8 days away.
Pre op is tomorrow so I'm having a day trip to Manchester. This'll be my 3rd ablation and my first one since Christmas 2014. I didn't know my partner back then, but she's bricking it more than I am. It's been weird trying to explain it to her and her family and how it's not "a big deal" even though

SCD and Nutrition
It’s such an important topic and so little attention is given to it! Besides being weighted every time I go to hospital (appointments, examinations, admission), neither doctors or healthcare personnel ever mention any nutrition guidelines specific to SCD. Only that good hydration and a balanced diet

Diagnosed with CFS, is there any where to go ?
Background: End of 2016, son was born prematurely. Many days and nights in the hospital. Beginning of 2016, energy levels are reduced, yearly snowboarding trip yielded that I was completely worn out. Muscle pains in my legs were unbareable, severely bad fatigue. Ended up riding one or two days out of

Advice please
Hi, Since Sunday last week I have had headaches, nausea, lethargy, photophobia, fever and an intense burning pain in the back of my neck. On Wednesday my doctor told me she thought it was viral meningitis and that I should go home, keep hydrated and get plenty of bed rest. She also said if it gets worse
