Just explain that too many folk chatting is overwhelming /sensory overload & too understand its not something you can control. It takes time & understanding. Your learning, so they must too.

Alot of social situations in/direct in pubs I have to be excused &take in Air &space. Only past few months. My first accident (after 5yrs old) was in 2001. I tell my pals, even rare unknown potential dates, have too breath!

Try not to be Anxious on flash backs.. I have Quite afew myself. But have disconnected feelings to them, just have verbal automatic response or precautionary action.

Anyway rest, Get well & keep in touch with the Headway community.

I feel the same way after my concussion. Loud busy places make me feel overwhelmed. Ironically, I can only stay at the Brain Injury Cafe (fortnightly in the centre of Bristol) for half an hour! Have you been in touch with Headway Bristol yet? They might be able to do a home visit and help you to speak to your relatives. There are lots of good leaflets about head injury on the main Headway website which you could give them. Maybe you could suggest short visits so you keep in contact but don't get overwhelmed.

Hi I get the same for example when someone has a conversation across me I have to leave the room, it burns my head out so much.

Or if people are talking loudly in a room it doesn't half hurt my head, it makes me so angry and stressed.

Christmas Day last year, a lot of my family came around, I had spend most of the day in my room until everyone had left. I even had to re heat my Christmas dinner later that night. I just couldn't face the noise and amount of people. 😩

I have taken these drugs at least 20 years and have had no side effects , I hung up on her before did any harm
