[/i] [i]Firstly [/i]Red Yeast Rice Extract (RYRE) [i]is not really a natural product as it is an extract of red rice fermented with Monascus purpureus yeast. so at best it is as natural as Guinness or red wine!

These actions by the FDA are similar to ones taken against NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) and Red Yeast Rice products. For those unfamiliar with the confounding issue related to NAC, it is outlined in the NutraIngredients-USA article linked above.

does anybody take this supplement for cholesterol, if so does it interfere with your RLS. It is free of Monacolin, think that might be important. Thanks
