Am so weak :(
I got up today and put on my patch. I had a relapse over the weekend but was determined to stick with it as my reasons for wanting to stop are still at the forefront of my mind. I walked to the chemist to get an inhalator and had gum at the same time. I am on holiday this week and for some reason could

e cigs
Hi I went to GP last night as my breathing has got worse and I didn't feel too good. He said that I have acute Asthma or Bronchitis and he has given me steroids, anti-biotics (third course since October) and a ventalin inhaler. He said that e cigs are toxic and there has been a recent study that has

2016 - a fantastic smoke-free year!
Hi everyone and a Happy New Year for all! Let's make sure that 2016 becomes a fantastic smoke free year. It's been 17 days since I lit up for the last time, but I prefer to remember that it's been 17 days of freedom. Ok, it maybe doesn't quite feel like freedom yet with all the cravings and anxiety that

E cig
I was very excited when I managed 8 days without a cigarette and began to prefer my electronic cigarette. However, this did not last as I woke up one morning and could not breathe. My doctor now is testing me for COPD and given me a ventalin inhaler. What I find so weird is that although I do suffer

The Champix experience
Hello all. I hope everyone's efforts are paying off in the best ways possible - I can't imagine a better Christmas gift to ourselves and our loved ones than to have us quit smoking. :-) Now, a few hours ago I replied to a member about Champix and how there seems to be different EU/US ways of taking

Want a baby
I've been a smoker since I was 12yrs old tbh I can honestly say it was only light smoking up until I was in my 20's then in my 20's it turned to 20 or more a day. When I did the co2 test in May it was off the chart past 30. I am now 34 and finding it vary hard for the egg to attach to my womb lining

A bit of stress in week 2 but still NOPE
Morning all Thanks again for this wonderful resource. It has been an interesting few days for sure, but thankfully the cold turkey remains cold and turkey-like! I will share what the stress is about, as this site is already quickly teaching me that it is good to share! The same weekend that I quit

3 months of freedom, 6 months back in a cell, but today I am ready to STOP
Hi everyone, my fellow positive and passionate people. You all helped me very much end of 2014 when I stopped my filthy habit. I'd started in my late teens, had a seven year cessation from 20-27 (a girlfriend wouldn't have it so I stopped to keep her), and then ploughed away again on 10 marlboro lights

Carvedilol vs Propranolol
I immediately
quit
drinking
and my health has been ok. Varices were 'barely visible', so the Doctors decided no treatment was required. Then in June of this year, an endoscopy revealed that the varices were now a grade 1/2, therefore recommended medication.

Almost 3 months in being a non smoker !!!!!
I am wondering when does a person start to feel better. I find I am tired and coughing a lot still after 11 weeks of no cigarettes. I do notice my lungs do not ache like they use to so that is positive, and I have not had a lung infection so far like I use to often. too often! I am using the E-Cig it
