When I settled down i
quit
drinking
so heavily but would have a drink maybe once a month but it would be a really heavy binge as all my social group did the same. This continued on til Dec 16 when my husband and I broke up for 4 months after a difficult year.

Hello, new
This happened to me a couple years ago after I
quit
drinking
. I thought it was withdrawal symptoms but the anxiety never went away which led to being sad. Doctor put me on 20mg fluoxetine. I felt better after a couple months and stayed on it for over a year.

Checking In
Anyway, I
quit
drinking
soda around 10 days ago so I wake up with headaches, but it's no different than when I quit smoking or before I quit as I have a history of headaches/migraines. I'm trying to readapt my body to good things. It is hard to do, but little by little I am accomplishing it.

Day 9
(Day 9 of cold turkey and not smoked 72 fags). I’ve got 9 days under my belt now, and although I’m not even halfway done yet, it’s still good. Today's been a bit rough. One of those days when all you feel is stress, anger and frustration. I am not used to handling those emotions without a fag. Had

Breathing symptoms
Welcome! I smoked a pack a day since I was about 20. When I was about 50, I quit. When I was about 57, I went through a divorce and started smoking again. Now I'm 60, and I finally quit again. It's been about 1 month. Now I'm feeling short of breath, wheezing at times, and kind of feeling a nervousness

Tobacconists Anonymous. I fondly remember the local tobacconists: wooden barrels smelling of musky joy, a continuous flame for lighting, even the wooden indian. It's now a clothing store, but with a brass plaque engraved with the Ode to Tobacco. So much mystical ritual and nostalgia surrounds tobacco

Bracing myself
Hello all, Heavy smoker here. I smoked ~30 cigs a day, and I've been smoking more than a pack a day for more than four years (8 years smoking total). I have quit monday, which makes this my 3rd successful day without cigarettes. I'm on patches for the nicotine, and take regular gum at the times I usually

9 days smoke free!
I quit smoking 9 days ago. I've been short of breath for the past week and it feel like I have a pressure in my chest and throat. Hubby says it's anxiety as he's a "quitter". I saw a similar post regarding this issue.

I

Stop starting
Hi all I quit for five months using champix and then had terrible side effects when I finished the tablets. I felt so depressed I thought it was because of not smoking so stupidly I took to smoking again for about a week. I really regretted it and I'm now on patches but i just carnt stop having one
