6 months ago I had a GGT reading of 160. I quit drinking completely 3 months ago and my GGT level is now 177. Its gone up when I was expecting it to go down! Anyone have any thoughts as to why GGT gone up when shoulf of come down?

That depends on whether or not your high GGT was related to alcohol or another liver problem, or both.
If it stays up even without alcohol the medics need to do further tests.
