Do people with liver disease normally experience swollen blue veins in the hands/arms/chest?
Since then, I've
quit
drinking
and sugar, lost weight and force fed myself huge amounts of spinach, and my enzymes have improved, but what I want to know about is my VEINS.

I just received this and thought it was very intresting
Needless to say, your chances of reversing liver damage are far better if you
quit
drinking
. Low levels of chemical exposures can also wreak havoc on your liver function.

I told my husband I'd stand by him if he'd
quit
drinking
, I'd help him 100% all the way , but I was just told to shut up and get away . So down , so hopeless , so sad , I just don't see anything changing .

Fatty Liver / Early Liver Disease Questions
I
quit
drinking
, but I know how much I did drink. I am just paranoid that in 10 years I will wake up with yellow skin and find out I am doomed. Is that a thing? Can you quit, get normal blood tests, then years later have liver disease (Assuming I didn't drink any alcohol in that time)?

Stop Boozing
Well now that's it's been a year and a bit since quitting smoking, my next challenge is to
quit
drinking
. I don't have a drinking problem (well I don't think I do), but it has become a routine and giving up smoking has spurred me on to give this a try to see what benefits I can get out of it.

Well, here goes nothing...
This past year, while I still haven't been able to hold down a job, I have lost 60 lbs,
quit
drinking
heavily, am up to 8 mile runs and gained a tremendous amount of self confidence and self worth of which I had very little of a few years ago....

Right upper quadrant pain / liver pain
Whilst tests may indicate everything is ok it doesn’t mean it things can’t hurt or ache and warn you of damage 3) If you want to
quit
alcohol you need to replace the time you spent
drinking
with other activity.

Lamictal and/or Ambilify — Irritability?
I’m also finding myself wanting to start smoking again — after having
quit
over four months ago. Both the irritability and
drinking
concern me. Maybe mores the drinking since I’m trying to reduce my weight and A1c. I was diagnosed as being on the customer of pre-diabetic back in June.

Alcoholic fatty liver?
I have now finally decided to
quit
drinking
completely but it’s been 2 months since my diagnosis. I’m so worried that I could have cirrhosis but I don’t really have any other symptoms besides the abdominal pain.

Hubby smoker
I gave up in 2008 diagnosed with copd soon after. Did have a couple of blips on the way. But finally gave up. Hubby kept saying he would give up he's not allowed to smoke in the house which thought would help me. But last year I was taken into hospital twice and I think it was the wake up call he needed

Need Examples
I need to
quit
drinking
, lose weight, manage money better, and learn how to be happy. Does anyone out there know of someone who radically changed their life for the better? Maybe if I heard those stories, it would help give me hope......

Ascities, is it esld?
He was denied harvoni because he won't
quit
drinking
. They live in a tent, and I assume have a soup kitchen diet. When I saw him 3 months back, he just looked waxy skin. Weathered, but had energy, and constantly exercises, due to homelessness.

Love your liver roadshow
I have decided to
quit
drinking
as even though I don't drink often any more when I do its very heavy. I was also a very heavy drinker in my 20s. I drank most nights - heavily. I also had some paracetomal overdoses in my late teens and early 20s.

Liver pain description
I have had pain around the upper right quadrant for several years - it generally comes and goes but for several months it has been worse, so much so that I
quit
drinking
and have had several liver tests and an ultrasound which were all clear.

High GGT Level after 2 years abstinence. Worried sick!
Hello Everyone, I
quit
heavy
drinking
exactly 2 years ago. My ALT and AST level came down to normal levels. My GGT was 140 it went down to 75 after 18 months and I just had my new test done and my GGT level went back up to 144. I haven't had a drink in 2 years today which is the anniversary.

I’m new here,
My father
quit
drinking
and turned his life around shortly before we married, and he and my mother even remarried after years of separation. Although I’ve mended my relationship with my father, I don’t think my mother will ever be who I want her to be for me.

How much longer?
He's
quit
drinking
i'm sure. Rumor has he's smelt like booze on maybe -2 occasions. I myself have never smelt it on him. He's had his share of hospital visits, infections, ascites and the last one 3weeks ago he took a good kick to the kidneys. Escaped death literally at least 2-3x.

Fatty Liver? Haven't felt Good in Months
Quit
drinking
3 months ago and all labs have normalized. I feel constantly fatigued. Doctors have stated that my liver capsule is causing the pain. Doesn't explain the pain on the left. Sometimes the soreness can be felt below my ribs on the left. I've been told that I have fatty liver.
