Covid teens
It may have been there before covid, but if it was it was very well hidden. I have two great kids, son and daughter. One was a senior during Covid, and the other was in 10th grade. We will start with seniors story. Needless to say no senior year enjoyment, and then went off to college and his first year

Hi all
Its been awhile since I've written. Today I had a good session with my therapist. She reminded me a lot of my symptoms are most likely related to my physical health. I have an immune disease. I live in chronic pain and am always going to the bathroom. I alternate between sitting up and resting in

Devastated
I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog & emotional support animal two days ago due to a tragic accident. The pain is unbearable. I cry constantly, can’t eat, have the shakes & a constant headache. The only time I’m at peace is when I’m sleeping & when I wake up, I wish I hadn’t. I spoke to my therapist

So glad to find this group today
And also very grateful to all the folks who are actively posting their experiences, and sharing knowledge.. Today I was Googling to find out if exercise, PT or chiropract are generally recommended for PMR, and came upon the group website. After reading a sample of opinions, now I've already found

Getting tired [venting]
So, it's been months since I last posted here. I was ready to end my life at the time, while I've gotten better and no longer have any active plans to make my exit, life still feels like such a drag. I've been to therapists (seeing one now), and I seem to have reached the peak of what happiness and satisfaction

Just needing to vent.
Hi. It's been too long since I've really been around here. Been suffering in silence or trying to ignore it all. I finally started the PTSD program that is offered at our health clinic. It's like a 10 week group & therapy program, with another 10 week program after is you are ready to move on. It's all

Depression Blindsided
I know a lot of people in this group have their fair share of personal issues, and I appreciate anyone who has taken the time in their day to stop and read this. I'm 22 years old and depression hit me like a truck. Throughout my teenage years, I had been seen as the "happy non-depressed friend". Because

Bipolar II what does hypomania feel like?
Hey folks, I've been diagnosed with bipolar II but I do not have traditional hypomania symptoms. I wanted to know if anyone else relates to this. I do not have elevated mood or the lack of need to sleep. However, I have intense goal oriented activity, agitation and extreme anxiety, I can't sleep even

No care when I needed it most
My name is William and I am still struggling to come to terms with a week in the very beginning of the pandemic where my therapist took off last minute, my psychiatrist was on maternity leave and the one I saw in her absence was completely booked, leaving me with no appointment. Normally, this would

I have struggled with PTSD for almost four years now. I have used talk therapy for years now and it has helped. I have looked for years for a peer-to-peer support group for PTSD that is non-military with no luck at all. I'm looking for an online group that I can join. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Overwhelmed Again!!
I have been overwhelmed lately. I stopped all of my meds for depression and anxiety, which is making my daily life difficult. I know I should be on medication, but I have never found the right combination to help me thrive in life. I have lost the trust in my doctors to help me feel better. Work has

hi. I have ibs as well
sometimes it all stacks up. I don’t know if any of you have ibs but sometimes it’s just too much. Along with depression. All these topics are so taboo. I really need a therapist. I have a number but tonight I just wanted to scream in frustration with mental health issues AND ibs. And aging. Thanks for

Two Years On - What Treatment?
Hey all, So, I officially got a diagnosis for PNES - FND back in March 2023, after what we realised is 19 years of misdiagnosed, mistreated, and ignored symptoms. I'm coming up to a year with an official diagnosis, and I'm realising that this is it. This is just my life now. I'm consciously having
