My letter to the ADHD Assessor
I posted recently about my frustration with my 7-year-old daughter being pushed toward an ADHD diagnosis which I believe would be a misdiagnosis, and asking if there were any advocates out there who seek to help children avoid ADHD misdiagnosis, specifically. So far, no one has been able to answer that

Craniosacral therapy - my experience & a PD case review
I had a remarkable first session with a local craniosacral therapist, trained in the originial structural Upledger approach (as opposed to the Biodynamic approach). He has worked a lot with PD and says that while 'of course there is no cure' his patients' neurologists comment that they're not progressing

I'm sidetracked
I took this photograph when I was more functional (again). These train tracks remind me of a
wonderful
place that I spent a lot of my childhood in. I can still recall the sound of a train passing by as I fell asleep and, how oddly comfortable it was. Laying in that comfy bed under

tips on health related ptsd?
About a year ago, I passed out in the gym toilet from extreme pelvic pains which turned out to be a tubo ovarian abscess. This was the start of my endometriosis diagnosis. After 2 surgeries, including one excision of endometriosis, I thought things would settle down. And I was working hard on improving

personal battles at work
Just as I am getting better in my personal healing journey I'm getting dragged back down at work. i am feeling underappreciated at work from a bare minimum boss that creates drama and chaos. Although I thought I was okay with my work arrangement but i feel cheated by her apathy in making the team thrive

why docs don’t want to prescribe opioids for RLS….😔
With all the recent total panic by docs on not prescribing opioids, I thought I would just attach Andy Berkowski’s excellent piece on why we are often being refused opioids now and almost certainly in the future at least for sometime. You may well have read this article before Kakally Andy Berkowski

How did you find a specialist to help you deal with your ADHD? I'm a married white dad, diagnosed a week before I turned 60. Help...
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. It was an amazing moment when at intermission of the symphony I realized I was listening to the music and there weren't a thousand voices in my head. This was 13 days after starting 40mg of Atomoxetine. It keeps getting better as time goes on and I realize the narrative

I am a 36-year-old female with 5 kids. I have lived with depression since I was 8 years old. It took until I was an adult to seek help. I have had different diagnoses, but now it's MDD with PTSD. I used to be told I was bipolar, but I didn't experience mania. I'm working with a therapist and trying different

ADAA personal story: Finding the Light at the End of the Tunnel
My name is Daneisha and I'm an African American woman who suffers from severe anxiety and stress. I was around 18 years old when I had my first panic attack. I couldn't breathe and it felt like I was going to die. The room was spinning, and it felt like the room was caving in. My mom ended up finding

Hello everyone
Hi everyone, I'm new to this particular group and I thought I'd reach out for some advice. I have a recent (ish) history with anxiety. I had my first panic attack in 2017 and anxiety since. At the beginning, it did have a huge impact and I stopped eating as, for some reason, I developed a fear of

OCD has taken over my daily activities, i need free online OCD therapist
I have OCD for many years now and it has taken over all my daily activities. Always doing one compulsion or the other to get a relive. Therapist Attachment
I think I’m slowly but surly getting attached to my therapist. No, not in a sexual manner. I’ve been seeing my for over a year now and she’s my favorite so far because she gives me the best advice and helps me with my ptsd/anxiety. She’s leaving the office she currently works at and I will need a new

Seeking help...
I'll apologize now for the rambling. Circa three weeks ago I started having these intermittent electrical-type shooting and now, sometimes, burning, sensations in my feet. On the pain scale it's about a "1." I made it through the first week okay. The weekend after that I had to go to the ER due to high
