Today I was Googling to find out if exercise, PT or chiropract are generally recommended for PMR, and came upon the group website. After reading a sample of opinions, now I've already found a Bowen therapist in my part of California, so I will found out how that works for me.

Do hope it helps. It won't do much for PMR itself, but myofascial pain syndrome can be part of PMR, forming knots of hardened muscle fibres in the larger muscle groups. I found Bowen extremely beneficial in ironing out those knots and that made the PMR itself less of an issue.
