26 Years old undiagnosed but very certain ADHD'er
Hi everyone, As I am new to this community I wanted to make my first post, to share my story and also to find 'fellow sufferers'. I am a 26 years old man who grew up in a very normal, hard working family. I never really 'suffered' from ADHD in my young years, although I had a lot of struggles in school

The 8 Senses and Sensory Systems
Following a blog I read by Kate Fox (Autistic Neurodivergent Substack writer), I was googling neurodivergent sensitivities and came across this article:https://neurodivergentinsights.com/blog/8-senses Although, I found that my son didn't necessary fix into certain boxes and therefore could be hypo (undersensitive

struggles on acute ward
Hi everyone You may recall my husband was in a RTA in November 23 and after 3 weeks in a coma spent a further 6 weeks in ICU due to a tricky ventilator/trachy weaning. He is now on an acute ward and waiting assessment for rehab. Initial indications are that he has aphasia. He needs two nurses to support

GAD Relapse
Hey all, I had a relapse on January 12th and am back on medication Lexapro 15mg. Anxiety has began to dissipate and I’m becoming more functional with every passing day. Still have my days where I have to retreat to the couch but was able to host a SB party with all my friends and that tells me I’m making

Suggestion
Hello. I have MS for over 20 years. Medication has helped my symptoms. I recently fell and broke my left forearm. Had surgery and therapy. I feel awkward depending on people who want to help. This too shall pass but need to keep myself busy. I am unable to drive until my occupational therapist tells

Starting a "normal" job, what do I do?
Help! I am turning 40 this spring and have never had a regular, 9-5, M-F job with benefits (have been a hard worker with multiple part-time jobs, independent contracting, my own business, temp jobs and shift work but never something this restrictive and normal). I am just learning about ADHD and related

Can't stand being by myself
I've been a very independent person all my life. I had to be - I was traumatized by my family when younger and dealt with it by burying myself in books, academics and work. I am asexual and have never been interested in marriage or having children. I am retired now, working part-time, but feel distanced

Fibro-Fatigued-Fed up!!!
I have suffered with fibro now for the past three years. I feel like I’m one of the lucky ones as I started symptoms at 42. I’m reading a lot younger people and I feel really sorry for you. my sister also suffers with fibro a lot worse than me and she’s had it a lot longer. My mum also. So between

Withdrawal of antidepressants/anxiolytics - Treatment Resistant Severe Depression & Anxiety.
@Beevee Thanks again for your suggestion to follow Dr Claire Weekes teachings. I can't read anything now because of severe anxiety and cognitive impairment. But i just glanced through the book and got the essence of it - floating! It's now 3 weeks after tapering & stopping the 1st antidepressant

Hi I’m dory10. I was diagnosed inDec2019 but had it for 27 years. I fall over a lot now I’m having tests to find out why.
I fell down stairs expecting my 3rd child at 37 weeks . She was fine a genius infact but I was left in muscle spasms and so much pain. I was told I was so close to being a paraplegic. I put up with all the little things that went wrong, I was fortunate not to be paraplegic. In 2016 I had a minor car

Bad day.
So am sorry ahead of time being annoying, today is really hard and my usual self smoothing tips are not working well today. My therapist recommended reaching out to more local community activities. The problem is most are religious based and am not religious at all. Which if you are that's okay, just

Any advice?
I'm currently in therapy and have pretty severe anxiety and depression and my therapist suggests medication, my only issue is my parents are extremely religious and refused to consider when I suggested several months ago. Any ideas on how to get around the need for parental consent or just ways to help

My family is cursed
So mom told me what happened and instead of her being relieved grandma is not dying, she's like "problems stack, my late uncle had a girlfriend that faked our signatures (she was a major, this place has the most corrupt majors) and wants all their heritage and also made him take a 15 000 loan and now
