Abiraterone dosage
This is somewhat related to my question concerning my elevated alt/ast levels that I asked about last week. Some of you mentioned that while on Abiraterone, you experienced a significant increase in those levels. My question here has to do with the proper dosage of Abiraterone. I'm currently taking

hi i had a Prostap injection 7 weeks ago for a pre op (which I didn’t have) I really did t get on well with it. Very very depressed mood and terrible anxiety, insomnia and crushing headaches. Also lost my appetite. I’ve never felt so poorly before :-( it was scary. Especially the mental health side

I was diagnosed with advanced metastatic prostate cancer (bones) in January, 2023 (thought I just needed to stock up on antacids). February, 2023 prescribed Apalutamide plus Trelstar. Ceased being effective April

Diagnosed metastatic prostate cancer in January, 2023. Prescribed Apalutamide plus Trelstar in February, 2023. Ceased being effective in April, 2024. Recently began Radium223 (Xofigo) treatment. Not sure if I will continue with Xofigo.

BUYING DRUGS
Our cancer treatment centres are a disaster here. I need to purchase some drugs on my own if I am to survive. Would you please recommend someone you trust to buy from the following: 1. Zytiga. 500 mg. dosage or whatever is available, I need three months worth, taken twice daily 2. Prednisone 5 mg

Younger man with prostate cancer
Hi there, Apparently, there has been an increase in prevalence in men under 50 being diagnosed with prostate cancer. I am a journalist investigating a piece on why this is happening for a national newspaper. I am looking for British clinicians who might want to comment on this, any interesting research

Why is oncologist not concerned about liver lesion?
So my husband has prostate cancer with mets to the bone, diagnosed 2 years ago, and he just had a CT scan done. They detected a lesion in his liver that was not there before. But the oncologist didn't even mention it? Can they tell it's not from the prostate cancer just from a CT scan?

CTscan due to high risk Prostate cancer
CTscan for newly found high risk Prostate cancer also came back with a SUV of 21.6 for Paritod gland and 21.8 for Prostate gland. Bones clear. Anyone have a high Paritod SUV on their scan and did it end up being cancer also?

Thank you
I stumbled on this forum about 15 to 18 months ago. Just to show you how little I knew and how clueless I was I had no idea there was run of the mill prostrate cancer or an advanced form. I just knew I had prostrate cancer and needed to make a decision - surgery or radiation. I stumbled through this

False positives
All is not cancer that lights up on the scans! In February, a PSMA PET/CT found nothing abnormal, just a minimal PSMA signal from rib 10 right. But the NaF PET/CT: "On the right, rib 10 has abnormal PET uptake (SUVmax 27.3). The same rib uptake can be seen in previous bone scintigraphy and as a minimal

Cyberknife+IMRT combination treatment for High Risk PCa, that has spread to the seminal vesicle.
Has anyone done a cyberknife-imrt combination radiation treatment for prostate cancer? My PCa has spread to the Seminal Vesicle. So, instead of a planned 5 session cyberknife treatment to the prostate only ( when the PCa was thought to be confined to the prostate), my doc is putting me on 3 cyberknife

I know this forum is primarily for those with advanced PCA, yet I regularly see posts by those who've only recently discovered the disease and are not in such adavanced stages, being treated only with 1st-generation ADT. Thus, as a nearly 20-year survivor of PCa (first discovered in 2005) and 10-year

experiencing stomach-ache side effects
I’ve been on Orgovyx since mid-December. Normal SE; fatigue, sweats, brain-fog, etc. May 10th I started adding Abiraterone acetate and Prednisone. The past week I’ve been experiencing stomach aches, sorta some contstipation (straining) and mild nausea. Any guesses if it’s the newer meds? The info lists
