PSA SCREEN VS SYMPTOMATIC
My current PSA test is called PROSTATE SPC AG, SCREEN. My previous PSA test from the same lab was called PROSTATE SPC AG, SYMPTOMATIC. Both labs were off the same order from my MO. Whats the difference?

Would I be on thin ice if I tried adaptive ADT this soon?
After 6 weeks on Lupron and 9 days on abiraterone, my PSA was .1, and my testosterone was <1. This is within the criteria being used to start people on adaptive in this MCSPC Moffitt study with Jingsong Yang - (he says I can just follow the protocol without being in the study)https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Sleep while taking Xtandi and Adt
Hello everyone, I am sure that this has been discussed on here before, I was unable to find any post to answer my question . I am taking Xtandi ( aprox 16 months) Lupron, I had chemo. My latest PSA was less then <0.01. It has been there for over a year now. ( See my profile for my journey.) My

Questions about protocol changes regarding ADT from 2nd opinion.
I was diagnosed with PC about 2 months ago. I received a 2nd opinion from John's Hopkins today and all cores had a different (slightly lower) Gleason scores than my local testing gave. However I do have the evidence of adenocarcinoma in the prostate and am starting on this road through RT (with an OAR

Clinical Trial Dallas UT Southwestern
Will begin a Pfizer starting on Monday. I will post more later as it goes. We are adding a drug to Xtandi to treat solid tumors. I have been on and off Xtandi a few times. I am chemo naive. In the past had a very heavy tumor load and received 3 rounds of Lu-177 from Ishita Sen, Fortis health in Delhi

Keytruda - year 4
So I’m pretty much closing the book on my 4th year on Keytruda (pembroluzimab). I’ve recently completely my 33rd Pembro infusion. Keytruda was my Hail Mary after running through most other SOC. My PSA was rising while on chemo the second time when I found out I had the markers that made me eligible

Possible Cure
Hi, I was diagnosed initially 2 years ago as Stage 4 with mets to the bones. Low volume. Gleason 8-9, PSA less than 2 from the onset. I had radiation to the prostate only. After 2 years of Lupron/Zytiga, everything has shrunk or disappeared via PSMA PET. Everything has been good,(but with med

Abiraterone
Prostrate removed 2015, Savage radiation 2018, PSA went from 1.9 to 7.9 in 3 months in 2023 and bone scan and all tests show bone cancer including some lymph glands. Presently on Abiraterone and prendisone for the last 2 weeks and wonder if it works or not and looking for any comments or advise?

Zytiga
I've now added Zytiga-1000mg about 3 weeks ago and it has brought my PSA down to .98 from 1.8 with only Orgovyx. Is there anything I can do to bring it down still lower, ideally to an undetected level? Poolover PS I'm 86, stage 4, Gleason9.

CT and Bone Scan 2 weeks after PSMA PET?
Note:
for reference, my dad lives in BC, Canada. I believe the system here is a bit different than the US - we have a urologist who refers us to the RO when needed. Therefore, there is no relationship between the urologist and RO - the RO is part of the cancer institute, but the urologist is not

Avodart added to my treatment regimen. I am Leary of it.
My MO prescribed bicalutamide and avodart after my 20 rounds of SBRT. My PSA went up to 21 after the SBRT. The bicalutamide I understand. I am leary of the avodart. I am concerned that it will mask PSA rise from cancer. Any thoughts on this?

time to reach undetectable PSA after prostate removal
All, I am nervous about my post RALP PSA results reaching an undetectable level and wondering if anything has been published in this matter. For context, I am 65 and was diagnosed G8 with ECE and elected to have surgery which occurred on June 23rd. The surgery pathology indicated clean margins and no

Full circle with metastatic prostate cancer
I have gone full circle with my disease. Diagnosed at 52 in 2017 with PSA 100. 6 years later PSA is back to 100 with new spread of mets though out skeleton. I have done all the SOC treatments and changed diet. The cancer has found a way around it all. I have continued working through out but now I have

Surgical Castration ?
I have been on Eligard for two months. Prior to starting ADT my Triglycerides were 100 (May 2023). After only two months of Eligard they are thru the roof (495). Since I have metastatic PC they tell me that I will be on ADT for life. I am considering surgical orchiectomy since there are fewer metabolic

PSA dropping and % free ratio rising - why?
OK, so as you can see from my Bio, I live in Australia and was due to start my HT this month. However, on Dec 5th, we decided to do another PSA test and surprisingly it had dropped from 8.1 in July to 4.9, so I thought maybe we should get another MRI to see what is going on. I had the MRI only a few

Very promising trial!
Con't know if it's good for metastatic but still...CRPC is good enough Molecule name: AZD5069 “This is tremendously exciting and it suggests we have an entirely new way to treat prostate cancer on the horizon,” said Johann de Bono, a professor of experimental cancer medicine at the Institute of Cancer

"Two Invitae CHEK2 variants of "unknown consequence""
Hello - My Hopkins MO says this genetics test indicates a weakness (CHEK2 is one of the 4 or 5 PCa related variants) he thinks this could have contributed to my premature, two year BCR after RP, so he will likely prescribe chemo sooner than later though PSA will be the prime indicator. Further he suggested
