BUYING DRUGS

billyboy3 profile image
24 Replies

Our cancer treatment centres are a disaster here. I need to purchase some drugs on my own if I am to survive. Would you please recommend someone you trust to buy from the following:

1. Zytiga. 500 mg. dosage or whatever is available, I need three months worth, taken twice daily

2. Prednisone 5 mg. need three months worth, taken twice daily

I have to get started asap, as I am way behind in switching over from Lupron and Casodex

You can email me tridanpm@shaw.ca or text me 587 778 4808 and yes I know the risks but need the drugs more than to worry about some bad guy doing whatever.

Thanks guys

Hello,

Where in Canada are you? I have been fighting this damn disease for eleven years. At various times I have been on Zoladex (goserelin), Firmagon (degarelix), Xtandi (enzalutamide), Zytiga (abiraterone) and more recently Lutetium. I never had a problem getting any of these drugs. Are you under the care of an oncologist? If not, why not?

Oncologist

Hello,

I am in British Columbia. You will never hear me saying anything negative about the medical system here. My experience with numerous doctors and medical staff is it has been exceptional. I urge you to get under the care of a medical oncologist. I think when that happens the second tier ARPI drugs that you are looking at like Zytiga (abiraterone) and Prednisone will become readily available to you through your local Cancer Agency.

I started in bc 26 years ago! The system there is as better then and now much much better than here in Alberta. We have a shortage of oncologists here of approx 40% less than what is needed and we have been unable to keep them as other provinces etc pay more and have better conditions!

I feel very bad for the staff at our cross cancer as there are so many very good staff there and they deserve better as do we the patients.

It is a nightmare and I only getting worse here, with no sign of it getting better!!!

I only need to change my drugs and hope they slow down the progression so do not need to be hung in the rack.

I am alive today because I took control day one, educated myself and also by raiding lots of money etc gir pc research had the best brains setting me up with my program that has lasted this long!!!!

Ps just in passing I am one of the guys who raised $10 million for the jack bell building that the pc groups let be taken over by a few and vgh!

Not sure what the last part means, but I see that the Jack Bell Building is the Vancouver Prostate Centre.

You could try IndiaMART. But stick to American brands, I. e. Jansson.

I use “myonco360.com” The app functions good also. Best prices and best service. If your doctors aren’t the best they can help you with that.

Cheers!

In the US, doctors can't wait to give you cancer drugs (for a hefty profit/fee, of course!)!

I live in the US and would like to share my thoughts: i feel like sometime drugs are administered when other options could be available. I’m a nutritionist so maybe I should not give my biased opinion

They are so expensive for the patient and I believe pushed when sometimes other modalities could be used

But sometimes drugs are the only option

I guess We are between a rock and a hard place lol💜

I think most of the drugs are extremely healthy...for Big Pharma's bottom line. :)

Why would you be switching to Zytiga from Lupron? Normally they are taken together. Zytiga is not normally a solo drug. And why do you think it is the right thing to do without talking to a doctor? Can you get to see a urologist? Whose care are you under now? You must have a doctor to get Lupron.

I am in Lupron and this is not a happy place to be grovelling to stay alive, but such is life. I agsin tell men to get expertise in pc, and direct your treatment, do not wait to make changes if your current drug regime is not working,

If Lupron is not working, Zytiga will not either. They work the same, just Zytiga blocks testosterone for a different place, the adrenals as well as the testes. They should be used in combo. If you can't tolerate Lupron, you won't tolerate Zytiga.

Not so in my case. I was on Lupron and when my psa spiked to 18 I started with zytiga and my psa went back down to undetectable. It took something like three months and I was only taking zytiga and 5mg prednisone. My psa is starting to creep up again so will have to see what happens next.

If u can go to a local pharmacy, or sometimes in a supermarket pharmacy, they may have ways to reduce the cost if u have no plan. Also, try, I think it is called Goodrx.com. Don't know if this helps but just getting involved w people that r selling drugs illegally, just spells trouble for you in so many ways. Also, try ur loc medical clinic for advice. Good Luck, billyboy.

Try Cost Plus Drugs or Drx pharmacy. Both do need a prescription but the cost is much less. I have used both. They use the generic (aberateron acetate).

I buy from India but you need to check if you can purchase and import with a Dr prescription or else they may be seized and forfeit at the border. Have you tried buying in Mexico?
