Cyberknife+IMRT combination treatment for High Risk PCa, that has spread to the seminal vesicle.

Has anyone done a cyberknife-imrt combination radiation treatment for prostate cancer? My PCa has spread to the Seminal Vesicle. So, instead of a planned 5 session cyberknife treatment to the prostate only ( when the PCa was thought to be confined to the prostate), my doc is putting me on 3 cyberknife sessions ( 20gy) followed immediately by 21 sessions of whole pelvic IMRT (42gy) to deal with any microscopic spread. PSMA scan showed no spread beyond the seminal vesicle. He says the combination will deal with the prostate, seminal vesicle and any surrounding micro spreads that are too small to be detected by the scan.

Has anyone gone thru this? What were the side effects ? how effective was the treatment?

It's experimental. But SBRT can get the biologically effective dose as high as brachytherapy.
