Prostate Biopsy
Hello everyone, I have had 2 biopsies in the last 2 years (the last one was in January 2023) with the latest one showing 1 out of 12 cores positive for Gleason 3+3 and another core suspicious for cancer. It was also noted on my last MRI that I had a bladder outlet obstruction. My PSA went as high as

Chemo with Docetaxel - side effects
I started triple therapy over a month ago with Eligard and Nubeqa, Zometa for bones, and Docetaxel chemo (with daily prednisone). Gleason 10, RP with 12 lymph nodes all negative, but then quickly went metastatic to multiple bones - too many for radiation to be effective. PSA peaked 3 months after

Oncologist and prostate surgeon conflicting treatment
Dad 73yrs has recurrent PC. 5 pelvic lymph nodes with hormone sensitive PC detected via rising PSA after 1.5yrs at undetectable then psma scan confirmed it was now in pelvic lymph nodes. He had his prostate removed a few years before, negative margins and just unlucky. In September last year Oncologist

I've hit rock bottom and starting to think this is in my head :(
Sorry, I feel like I have messaged on here so much. Recap is I'm 48 and have been having significant abdominal pain, particularly the left hand side. I have had this pain for years but up until a year ago it was only for a few days. My periods have always been heavy. I've had various scans over the years

I have or had stage four prostate cancer in my lungs. PSA at 6.0. Started taking Taxomere and Lupron treatments.. my PSA levels went from 6 to 1 to 0.2. I still have three more treatments to go.. Hope this gives hope to people. The taxomere seems to work fairly well.

Two Qs: Benefits treatment; onset of bone pain
Greetings all. As my bio explains, I am 5 yrs since diagnosis. Had removal surgery, and then EB radiation. PSA kept climbing so I started Lupron 2 years ago. Worked until recently when PSA spiked. PETscan showed metastasis for first time into torso lymph nodes. Been on Aberiterone and Prednisone for

Pluvicto failed - what is next?
Hello Warriors Well it looks like pluvicto has failed. I just got my most recent PSA test after my fourth injection and my PSA has now gone from 20 to 30. Also my PSMA scan says that my cancer is no more stable and on the move with more tracers. Still just in the bones. Pluvicto was brutal on my

PSMA PET Scan Question
I heard on a PCa support group call, from a retired MD, that if your PSA is below 0.1 a PSMA PET scan isn’t useful because it requires a certain level of the PSA to find metastases. Does anyone know if that’s true or is it more of a wives tale or just anecdotal? Thanks!

Prolaris test?
Does anyone know about the "Prolaris" test? I'm about to do my 2nd biopsy and if I can prevent it I will. The 2nd one is an MRI guided one, to determine what kind of anomaly I have. Does the Prolaris tst do the same thing? I've already had a 4k test and PSA is rising.

Taiwan has not as many hormonal drugs as the US has
Taiwan has not as many hormonal drugs like US has. I had Casadox first and then Xtandi which failed to be effective after one and half years of treatment. How should go from here? I haven’t done Docetaxel. Should I go ahead with Docetaxel or Zytiga?

Brief update on my lower Intestinal Tract Capsule Endoscopy.
Just to let you know that the procedure went fine. Although the camera was a little larger than an Omega 3 high strength capsule, I found that with the right mindset I swallowed it easily. The staff were a little disconcerted about my long term steroid use and the possibility of an adrenal crisis and

Lymphadenectomy with HDR Brachy mono?
To limit late radiation toxicities and better preserve erectile function, is it possible to have lymph nodes removed surgically instead of having the beam therapy that comes with HDR Brachyboost? Would the recurrence risk be reduced by the same degree with HDR mono plus lymphadenectomy as it would

Travel Insurance for a cruise?
I am booked to go on a cruise later this year and have started looking for suitable travel insurance. The company recommended by the cruise line says they cannot offer me cover because I am being treated for prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. I've started searching for a company

My Pluvicto Journey is Over
I finished treatment #5 on August 10th with a PSA of over 400. But worse than that was what it did to my hemoglobin and Platelet counts. Last week my hemoglobin was down to 6.2 and after 2 units of blood it only rose to 7.8. Platelet counts drooped to 18k. I had a transfusion for both the platelets

Should I end active surveillance and treat?
I am 72 years old in fairly good health. Elevated PSA in the 5-7 range lead to a MRI which showed no abnormally and later a biopsy on September 16, 2022. The biopsy confirmed cancer in 6 out of 12 cores. All were G6 (3+3) with a t1c grade. Active surveillance was recommended by everyone which I totally
