SIB/Flame Protocol
The RO recommends Simultaneous Integrated Boost (SIB) as part of my treatment. PSA was 19.76 (4/2023), then 21.78 (5/2023 to confirm initial PSA). He is concerned that the PSA does not match the Gleason score (4+3, grade 3) as PSA has surpassed 20. Multiplanar MRI and PSMA PET indicated no metastasis

prostap, HRT and lap
Hey everyone. I had my lap done privately last year, gyno advised he couldn’t see anything. I took the images from surgery to one of the specialists on the endo website and they have advised they can see what they think is endo on my pelvic wall and I am currently on NHS waiting for my next laparoscopy

Your thoughts on next course of action
First, I'd like to thank the many good folks that contribute this forum. Your inputs have been a life send to me over the past several years, especially Tall Allen who recommended UW Medicine where my MO and RO are located. They have been fantastic to work with. The short story - Diagnosed in 2018.

I finished 6 treatments of Pluvicto in May 2023 with negligible PSA readings. In August of 23 my PSA jumped to 2.3, my September 14 PSA is 16.8. It seems like Pluvicto is losing it's grip. I have an appointment with my oncologist on September 25. I am sure he will order a PSMA scan. I am curious as to

Trimix with atrial fibrillation meds
I received HDR Brachy and 25 EBRT treatments 3 years ago. My PSA has been negligible since then. I was discharged from the hospital yesterday, after an arterial flutter, my first heart problem ever. I was discharged with amiodarone (Pacerone), apixaban (Eliquis), losartan (Cozaar), and metropol succinate

should I stop Zytiga early?
hello, i’m new here and encouraged by all the experience and caring nature of the conversations. Would love if anyone has wisdom around a decision to stop Zytiga early? I am 56 and was diagnosed 2/21 with Gleason 9 no lymph nodes invasion, but some vesicle invasion and perhaps a little outside margins

Xtandi and insomnia
Anybody else have severe insomnia from enzalutamide? I'm only getting ~3 hours sleep since starting. Pretty deep fatigue too. Any advice on ways to manage this?

What's next for crumbling bones when Zytiga was not tolerable?
My dad just stopped his Zytiga due to nausea, and other intolerable side effects. He just got his first two shots that they give for osteoporosis...due to a spontaneous fracture in his pelvis. He's using a walker but has gotten relatively stronger from the day it happened a month ago...from doing exercises

Uric Acid [UA] & PCa Mortality
I once had a gouty foot. It was self-induced - I was having a brief but intense craving for high-purine foods, particularly anchovies. (Perhaps PCa was driving the craving - lol.) At some point I looked at the PCa / Uric Acid [UA] literature (more than I expected), but it was mixed & failed to impress

Hi All, Fathers latest PSA reading is 3.87 (up from 2.3 in 9/23) , he was switched from Enza to Abi last month but apparently it hasnt worked. He was also tested for germline mutations and found to be BRCA 2 +. His blood counts are relatively low with Hgb at 10.7 and RBC at 3.9 What are the options

PSA doubled 3 months after chemo - normal or a concern?
I don’t see Dr Dorff until next week, but had labs drawn today. I’m prepping any questions I might have for the appointment. My PSA has more than doubled in 3 months from 0.014 to 0.039. Testosterone at time of both tests was <7. At these low levels, is that doubling in 3 months a concern? I’m

CDK12 gene mutation
My husband continues to be hormone sensitive but Sept. 4, 2023 he developed intense and unrelenting pain in his right mandible. The oncologist and palliative care nurse prescribed morphine and dilaudid to help reduce the pain. These pain meds are helping although he can still feel pain and gets breakthrough

Just completed a whole gland TULSA procedure
This was salvage treatment after failure of SBRT by MRIdian in Mar 2020.PSA nadir after SBRT was 2.4 and it rose to 5.3 just 3 years later, when a PSMA scan showed 2 possible tumours within the gland. A subsequent biopsy confirmed local tumour recurrence with Gleason 4+4. Interventional radiotherapy

PSMA scan result
I have been diagnosed with mCSPC in May 2023 and been on Lupron for 3 months and Zytiga/ Pre since last 2 months. My PSA was initially 21.5 and as of last week is down to 0.3. I had my PSMA scan done again today and was hoping that some lesions in regional and distant Lymph nodes would be gone but

Decision Time Very Soon
My profile is updated, but briefly, diagnosed de novo, high volume metastatic in April 2022. PSA 28.2, Gleason 4+5. ADT & 6 rounds chemo brought PSA to 0.48 in Jan. 2023 & then started creeping up. In June, went over 2 & MO felt was castrate resistant. Stopped abi. and started Keytruda (I am MSI- high
