PSA doubled 3 months after chemo - normal or a concern?
I don’t see Dr Dorff until next week, but had labs drawn today. I’m prepping any questions I might have for the appointment. My PSA has more than doubled in 3 months from 0.014 to 0.039. Testosterone at time of both tests was <7. At these low levels, is that doubling in 3 months a concern? I’m

clioquinol + zinc
PSA 44 started clioquinol +zinc Aug 11. Aug 30 PSA 48 with severe UTI. U of Maryland says Clio + zinc kills cancer cells. They give two cases of prostate cancer terminated. I'm trying it.

PSA up to 150 on Olaprib, any insight on what’s next?
Hi all, my dads history is mostly in my profile but in short he started on Zytiga a year ago. Zytiga worked well but had major side effects and lead to a switch to Erleada. Erleada failed at the time shown in the picture with the orange circle and he switched to Olaprib by the time he got the PSA results

Back pain
I’m getting rear rib pain that I largely feel when lying down and in certain body movement. I do have a little spread to my front ribs. Decision Xtandi or radiation
Many posts proceed this one and I am now at a crossroad. Scans since 7/21 showed uptake in either/or illiac, acetabulum and the ischium. After 2/23 scan I had 35 gys radiation to acetabulum. PSA dropped then started rising, 9/23 scan showed SUV uptake 28.4 at ischium. PSA 4.2 Local radiologist is

WHAT ARE THE CURRENT EFFECTIVE SALVAGE TREATMENTS IN CASE OF A REOCCURRENCE IF YOU HAVE HAD SBRT,IMRT, WITH PLACEMENT OF GOLD BARS?
It appears that if you had SBRT or like myself IMRT and you were given
gold markers
you cannot do any of the following
salvage treatments in case of a reoccurrence
: Proton therapy, Hifu, Tulsa Pro , Etc. Is this true???? Again a significant fact left out before treatment...

I like it, but not too much: Phase 2 trial of a DNA vaccine (pTVG-HP) and nivolumab in patients with nmHSPC
"No patients met the primary endpoint of complete PSA response; however, 4/19 (21%) patients had a PSA decline >50%. Median PSA doubling times were 5.9 months pretreatment, 25.6 months on-treatment (p=0.001), and 9.0 months in the subsequent year off-treatment. The overall median radiographic progression-free

SIB/Flame Protocol
The RO recommends Simultaneous Integrated Boost (SIB) as part of my treatment. PSA was 19.76 (4/2023), then 21.78 (5/2023 to confirm initial PSA). He is concerned that the PSA does not match the Gleason score (4+3, grade 3) as PSA has surpassed 20. Multiplanar MRI and PSMA PET indicated no metastasis

Does this mean we sould not use ubiquinol?
I would prefer not to drop ubiquinol, but this makes me think maybe I should? “Castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) poses a major clinical challenge with the androgen receptor (AR) remaining to be a critical oncogenic player. Several lines of evidence indicate that AR induces a distinct transcriptional

Your thoughts on next course of action
First, I'd like to thank the many good folks that contribute this forum. Your inputs have been a life send to me over the past several years, especially Tall Allen who recommended UW Medicine where my MO and RO are located. They have been fantastic to work with. The short story - Diagnosed in 2018.

Rising PSA
I had a prostatectomy almost 3 years ago. My PSA has been undetectable (<0.01) for all that time. This week it was .02 I’m going to redo the test to make sure. Then my urologist wants to refer me to a radiation oncologist. Has anyone had any experience with this. It’s really been hard trying to sort

PLUVICTO
I finished 6 treatments of Pluvicto in May 2023 with negligible PSA readings. In August of 23 my PSA jumped to 2.3, my September 14 PSA is 16.8. It seems like Pluvicto is losing it's grip. I have an appointment with my oncologist on September 25. I am sure he will order a PSMA scan. I am curious as to

Should I be concernedPSA rising from 0.3 to 0.40
after being undetectable for ~ 5 years my PSA became detectable 0.10 in July. In October I was retested and my PSA was 0.30 . In early November I had a PSMA-Pet scan which was negative. Today I was retested with a result of 0.40. How soon should I followup with my MO? Any advice would be appreciated

Do I need 6th Pluvicto infusion? PSA undetectable for 6 months.
I've been on the PSMAddition trial having had 5 of 6th infusions. PSA undetectable (<0.02) since June (it was 0.31 in early May when accepted into trial with relatively low burden PSMA-avid lesions). Aug 4 CT/bone scans showed significant reductions in size and activity of lesions (prior to 3rd treatment

Looking for advice for my newly diagnosed dad
Hello, I was wondering if you can offer some thoughts on my dad’s situation. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February after a week in hospital with urine retention. A Ct scan he had in hospital showed 2 small mets in pelvic area. He’s had a biopsy which showed Gleason 4 +5 and his PSA in hospital
