Popped to GP, result as expected.
I had a mixed weekend, I managed to get out both days to do things which was great BUT both days I suffered a lot of thumps/jolts/skips which restricted my mobility doing those things quite a bit. I've had this now 13 weeks to varying degrees but recently it's worsened again which is frustrating. I saw

Making sense of recent physical
Recently I had to take a physical, thorough one, for a life insurance policy. I will be out of town for a little while and today is labor day so I cannot call my doctor for clarification, which I will do, but I the mean time would like to hear what you all think. I am 30, feel healthy and exercise as

Worried about palpitations/cardiomyopathy
I have had palpitations for years and years , since I was about 12 years old. I have also had an anxiety disorder for around the same length of time (OCD and generalised anxiety). I have a lot of ECGs and a 24 hr recording taken, the 24 hr one showed some PVCs and PACs but nothing to be concerned over

Hybrid ablation part 2
I am part of a clinical trial to judge the outcomes of a mini maze procedure followed by a catheter ablation compared to two catheter ablations. I had been in persistent AF since Feb 2016, give or take a few weeks after cardioversion. I had the mini maze on April 6th. Since then I have been predominantly

Normal concern or unnecessary worry?
For many years I had occasional bouts of PVCs, then during a time of great stress I was diagnosed with paroxysmal AF, but it wasn't until a year ago that I was given Flecainide twice a day, Metoprolol and Xarelto. Recently wore a 2-week Zio Patch monitor to give the cardiologist a clearer idea of how

Had cardiology appointment today, no real progress!
My irregular and now pretty painful heart beats are still increasing so much so I ended up in A&E this week but the result of that was nil, except being checked out for immediate danger. However I did manage to get a cardiologist appointment for today which wasn't entirely fruitless but also didn't resolve

Help? What help?
Since a diagnosis of cirrhosis a couple of months ago, I've had an ultrasound scan, a CT scan and a gastroscopy. I've had no advice re current medications (even though a couple of my long term meds indicate possible incompatibility with my liver) and no dietary advice. Thanks be for the Liver Trust,

Cirrhosis/Nash?
Hi all. 24 years old, male. I don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs. Weight around 65 kgs, 6 feet tall. I'm not really into sports but I used to swim and ride a bike from time to time. Begining of this year my lifestyle has changed a lot. For 3 months my physical activity was reduced to walking 200

Recognising the effect of anxiety within AF
Reading Richard75's recent post titled "Light at the end of the AF tunnel - a success story" has really opened my mind about the role of anxiety within AF. Prior to my AF, I was lucky to have never suffered from anxiety, stress or depression. And so my latest theory is that all of the worry I

verapamil
Has anyone been given verapamil to use as a pill in the pocket to either stop tachycardia or stop pvc's ? I was at the ER a couple of days ago with tachycardia that lasted almost four hours. 100ml of Flecainide didn't stop it so they did a chemical cardioversion and it stopped it straight away. I'm always

Had a really rough couple of days. Anyone know what this tingling in my arms and fingers is all about?
This thing is hitting me way harder than I expected. I haven't been in AF for 6 days, but the last 3 days I've been getting lightheaded and tingling down my arms and into my little fingers (normally after I've been on my feet for 20 minutes). Some hours later I get hit by a powerful head rush. Not enough

Pain
Am I the only one who when I have too much to drink, not alcohol, usually water, I get 'cystitis' pain even though I don't have an infection and I'm fine other times?

Dizziness feeling when in NSR?
It has now happened to me on 3 occasions. Just wondering if anyone recognises these symptoms as being associated with AF, or should I be looking elsewhere? Just an hour ago I was sitting in my car when I felt a strong head rush / dizziness coming on. My head feels kind of fizzy and fuzzy inside. My

First visit to the cardiologist
I wasn't in there long. The summary of my consultation as follows: He recommends ablation, given that I have a low resting HR and wish to return to sport. I am being referred to an EP to take this further. (I don't relish heart surgery at age 38, but, I feel content that they are going straight for

7 weeks, mixed health still
So I started Cardiac Rehab last Friday and had my second session this Tuesday. So far because of my health prior to the bypass not being great I have found it tiring for sure. I've also ended up with muscle tweaks in my shoulders, neck and back along with some pains in my calf and ankle. That being said
