Alivecor Heart Monitor. - Very helpful !
I am very pleased with the Alivecor monitor. It recorded sessions of: Atrial Fibrillation RVR, Atrial Flutter, PACs, PVCs, V.-Tach/PVCs, and readings up to 214bpm -at which time I had to put it down! Alivecor's email support was very helpful as well. Check into the user manual, (on the menu: HELP

Taking the "Cirrhosis" out of PBC
With the answers given in the survey, we want to show the medics how strongly our members feel about the word "
Cirrhosis
" still being in the name
PBC
. We want to show that
Primary
Biliary
Cirrhosis
is more than just a name.

Average life span of someone with Cirrhosis + Portal & Ascites
Hi there, My mom has been diagnosed with Cirrhosis and I've narrowed it down to being stage 4 based off of her having Portal Hypertension, Ascites. I hope I'm wrong though. My mom is my world, I love her and the idea of losing her is like losing a piece of me. I'm only 24 and I'm freaking out. She won't

Third ablation recommended
My case is little bit complex , I had few types of irrethemia along with artificial valve after two open heart surgeries and a scar in the heart . As most of you aware I just had my second ablation two weeks ago , and I can say both of my previous ablations were successful thank god . First one stopped

PBC Name Change notice released via PBCers.org (* Partially repetitive to what's been posted here and with a few diifferent details)
Posted by: pbcers Hi Ya'll, As most of you know, the name
Primary
Biliary
Cirrhosis
is very deceiving. For years
PBC
wasn't diagnosed until late disease stage and the patient was already in cirrhosis.

I had a ultrasound this morning to check gall bladder, kidneys, urinary tract and pelvic area. The doc has rung a few hours later
For permission to book an urgent MRI. He said something about the blood vessel to the liver. Do any of you have any info as I am now very worried.

Live Q&A on chemicals in plastic packaging
Scare stories about bisphenol A, PVC and phthalates are still circulating, they regularly come across journalists’ desks and we get calls about them. We're hosting a live Q&A today at noon. You can follow the discussion on the Sense About Science website and on Twitter or Facebook. We're using #plasticQA

Wanted to introduce myself
I am new to the group I have had a liver biopsy and was diagnosed with stage two PVC in 2010. I was put on ursodiol 1200 mg a day. I have only had itching about five times in the past four years. Passing along a research update from Dr. Eric Gershwin, Chief, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Univ of California
Gershwin's PBC Research Update Despite major advances in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases through the use of biologic agents, there has been a relative lack of effort and success in

Do I have IC? ( interstitial cystitis ) or Endo on my bladder.
Hello I was wondering if I had IC. So here's what has been happening to me. A few months ago when I was diagnosed with Endo. I always had to use the bathroom like 15 times a day, because every time my bladder gets full (I drink A LOT of water) I would feel this dull aching pain deep inside of me. But

Last month I had a lap to remove endo in bladder and ovaries and this month I still got blood in urine while on period. Has it come back?
I started having blood in urine while on my period some months ago, when the endo symptoms started becoming worse. Last month I had a lap and two endometriomas <3cm were removed, as well as some endo in my bladder. Now I got my period, but there is still blood in my urine. Does this mean that the endo

I place my hands on the table to limit mvmt and feel I succeed but the ECGs are quite wonky. When I get PACs SVTs PVCs and once an IVCD I understand the wobbles but often I am in NSR with very strange readings! So far always in NSR with or without the other indications. I am quite perplexed by the
