Interstitial Cystitis (painful bladder syndrome), FODMAP diet and Endometriosis
I had my first laparoscopy yesterday. My surgeon found a lot more Endometriosis than she was expecting as I was previously diagnosed with it from an MRI scan but not all of it showed up on that. It was found in the pouch of Douglas, between my womb and bowel, around my bladder, and around the front of

Can Graves' Disease present with lower urinary tract symptoms?
Hello, I was diagnosed with Graves disease back in May 2017. At the time I had a general feeling of unwell, a rapid heartbeat, nausea and excessive sweating. I was put on Carbimozole - my medication eventually lowered to just 5MG every other day, when I was told a month ago that as my levels were 'normal

Confused
Hi Would anyone be able to explain which bile ducts are affected when an MRCP has shown ‘Intra and Extra Hepatic Ductal Dilation’ please? I got a letter on Saturday I have a EUS this Friday. An ultrasound I had before the MRCP shows CBD dilation. Thank you

Blood results missing
I've just had a print out of my latest liver function tests and the Alt and PT tests seem to be missing. How important are these to diagnose liver disease? I feel like I'm going round in circles. They said my blood results were normal so they won't refer to a hepatoligist or even for an ultrasound even

Unexplained significant increase in heart rate, especially during exercise. With PVCs.
Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has ever had a similar experience to this and can shed some light for me! I'm a serious athlete (boxer) and train about 3 hours a day - i'm really in tune with my heart rate etc. because I monitor my fitness and interval training very carefully. I had

non-compensatory ectopic beats?? Extremely worried!..
Hi Arrhythmia Alliance! Just found this community after searching everywhere for answers without any results. So I'm hoping for some answers here. I've had PVC's for as long as I can remember, and began to worry about them at a young age. I have done too many ecg's to count, holter monitoring a couple

Hi everyone!!
Hi everyone! I'm Kelley and I've been dealing with arrhythmia's for the last 19 years, after my dx with Graves Disease. I've gone from PVC's to pac's to ectopic beats. Normal ECGs and echo. They scare the heck out of me. Dr isn't concerned but there are times they freak me out. Looking fwd to talking

Downsides of Detecting Atrial Fibrillation in Asymptomatic Patients
https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/910482?src=wnl_edit_tpal&uac=232755DZ&impID=1954536&faf=1 This is interesting. It seems more information should be discussed with new AF patients before the current clinical approach is whole heartedly applied in all cases. Maybe scaring a patient is not the appropriate

Interstitial cystitis
Hello my lovelies, Looking for some advice on if interstitial cystitis can be missed on a rigid cystoctopy? Here's the short version of my story: Been dealing with basically recurring UTI's but no infection found for the last 6 years. It's every symptom of a UTI + bloating & there's always blood in

An update
So... After dad was diagnosed with cirrhosis last week - the docs had given him the news after a week in hospital and various tests - they now seem to have changed their minds!! In many ways - as you would see from my last post - the diagnosis didn’t ‘sit right’ with me having read dad’s US reports concerning

'Hungry heart', causing PVCs, ectopics, etc?
Hi guys, I have AF but was - as many of us have been - successfully ablated around 2 years ago. I've had just one episode for 2 hours of full-on AF since my ablation, that came 6 days after my ablation. However, recently I've noticed a lot more activity and in particular I'm having a lot of positional

Recently Diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis
Hi All, Unfortunately my father is diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis 3 weeks back. He is diabetic since last 17 years. He never really had alcohol. Recently during our small family vacation, his legs had swelling - which often appeared during travelling due to legs hanging but disappeared after a night

Stem Cell Treatment
A little while ago I mentioned that liver transplants could one day become a thing of the past. Day by day the use stem cell treatment and research brings us closer to finding a cure for liver disease. HIV positive man in London becomes second person ever to be cleared of virus after stem cell transplant

PVC's (extra heartbeats) without a pause and compensatory beat afterwards?
Been very stressed/ anxious lately, and I keep noticing PVC's without any pauses and compensatory (very hard) beats afterwards. Usually I get the "regular" PVC's with the pauses and hard beats after. But this is different. It feels just like a normal, slightly harder beat in between the normal beats
