Full Cream Milk
Oh I love it! I have decided and ordered a tin of it to add to my low fat diet in which I have recently lost 2 lbs. My decision is not based on emotions. In fact one of our Holy Imams (a.s) advised a man to drink 'milk' for weakness which I am experiencing while dieting and exercising and once in a week

What next - pre diabetes!!!???
Any advice? I’m 71 9st 12 lbs, exercise every day and can run 5k and now have been told I have pre diabetes!!! My diet is pretty good low carb generally not much bread or root veg, and no cakes or sweet stuff, alcohol-14 -16 units a week. So what next I ask? You can consider the above a bit rhetorical

Low dose naltrexone research??
Has anyone come across any reputable research papers on the use of low dose naltrexone to treat RLS/periodic limb movement disorder? Why !!!
My breathing has not been good lately, possibly because of a faulty inhaler, so I went for a COPD review . My peak flow was very low for me, 290 , so was given forms for blood tests and chest x ray. The next evening my breathing seemed worse as I was having difficulty drying myself after a shower. BUT

Has anyone cracked the code? How to loose weight??
Still trying to get things under control.. But how DO we loose weight as Hypothyroid? - Should we stay away from certain types of exercise? (Cardio, weights, HIIT, walking, etc?) - Many said Keto may not be great… is low carb ok? On Keto I would stay within 30-40g of carbs a day which is more low carb

Gastritis and Iron tablets
Following a recent blood test where the following levels were reported-iron 10 umol; ferritin 18ugl; tsr 15.3%; my GP wasn’t keen on giving me iron tablets said they could be “nasty” but didn’t explain the impact they could have on my atrophic gastritis !I am struggling to keep pain free from the latter

Low carb, high fat diet
When I was first diagnosed I decided I wanted to watch my weight. I had put on weight over the years and was 12 stone. I had read about reducing carbohydrates. A few months after my PMR diagnosis I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I read all I could and changed my diet to a low carb, high fat diet

Peak Peak Flow
I've spent May and June having one flare-up after another... four weeks on prednisolone and, once I'd weaned off it, I had another bout of asthma... So now my dr has referred me (which will take months for the appt to come through) and recommended that I up my Symbicort to 8 puffs daily then gradually

Happy Friday the 13th and in chemo bay #13 now 😁
Hey y'all, Another Cabazitazel session, getting 12 total to put me at 33 chemos in 7 years this July PSA ticked up 0.1 to 2.5 last time 🤔 MO may do PSMA scan and biopsy any large enough lymph nodes, if PSA continues upward. Still on Lupron 3 every months, and doing Intermittent Fast for 16 hrs/day

Another interesting insight from a doctor - this time Dr Nadir Ali at a “low carb down under” conference.
This doctor has realised that the medical profession needs to listen to its knowledgeable patients in order to make progress. Yay!! Here is his first slide. The last word - on the next slide - is “buggy whipped”. For anyone interested in the benefits of a low carb high fat diet, and the reasons why

Recipes for fatty liver?
Hello. My husband was just diagnosed with fatty liver. All the Dr. said was to eat a low fat diet and that it can be reversed. He still has to have a flex scan done and he has an appointment with a dietitian next week. But I was wondering if anyone has some recipes or ideas for food until his appointment

Hi Everyone, As I have reported on here, I am in the very slow process of lobbying to get an extension of my allocation of TCZ. This will take ages, I know … Federal Parliament is sitting at the moment, an election is looming, and our current Health Minister is retiring after the election. Not a good
