Diet
Nobody seems to know what the questions are - let alone the answers. "Junk food" is bad - but does "junk food" include all processed food - including cheese? "Whole Food" includes whole modern grains, which, in my opinion, are best avoided. The question, I think, is not vegan or carnivore, but, from

Asthma triggered by ibuprofen?
Yesterday I had a very large hip labral tear repaired. My resps apparently went so low with Fentanyl I wasn’t allowed any more. Apparently that is 10 resps per min. At 8 they have to breath for you. Anyway I am undergoing a raft of tests at the moment as the GP thinks no wheeze and a normal peak flow

Puzzled - stepping up preventer medicine when symptoms come on so quickly
I was diagnosed at age 60 close to 6 years ago after a series of winter illnesses left me breathless and with a constant cough. My asthma was well controlled after a number of weeks on Clenil Modulite. Then a GP suggested I step down to 1 puff twice a day from 2. All was well until I got a chest infection

Specialist appointment - after 15 months
So finally got my specialist appointment for a consultant that I was with previously waiting since last August. I was waiting so long I went to see him private and because I have involved in a study he said he wouldn't change anything with my inhalers until he was seeing as a public patient in the hospital

Asthma Novice at 32
Hi folks, so I was diagnosed with 'mild asthma' as a late teen. Got the little white inhaler and a few days if be fine. I then had it return 5 years ago at 27 when pregnant and got a blue inhaler. Can you tell I'm a proper novice? Figured I'd grown out of it as I've had no issues since... Until 3 weeks

Awaiting diagnosis for asthma...peak flow 350...36 yr old female
Hi all, So I am awaiting my spirometry referral. I am 36 and have had symptoms for years but just thought I was someone quite unfit despite walking a lot or my anxiety was causing my breathlessness sometimes. I decided to go to the GP after recent allergy tests (I do not have any allergies but

GFR dropping fast!
Hello. I'm a 58 year old woman diagnosed with CKD about 5 years ago. During the last few years I stayed pretty much at stage 3. I had a great nephrologist, then I moved to another state. Admittedly the move hasn't been great and I have gained 7 lbs! But most concerning is my GFR, since June, has dropped

Wheezy but ok
Hi, still awaiting my actual diagnosis but I have a question. I'm on brown inhaler and have blue one too. Last few days I've had cold but I've also noticed I get wheezy about the same time every evening. My peak flow readings aren't bad and I don't feel bad. I took my blue inhaler but it had no effect

So...
I need to lose 2/3 of my body weight. Due to pain, gym/exercise is very difficult. I also work 8am-8pm 5 days a week and do voluntary work at the weekends so when i do have time to go somewhere there's nowhere open near me, even supposing I could afford the £100/month they wanted last time I inquired

All she could bleat was to boil the vegetables! When I asked if there

Stuck in asthma limbo
Hi all. I’ve come here to have a little moan/rant about being stuck in that phase of asthma where you’re not bad enough to go to hospital but are definitely not ‘well’ in the sense of feeling good and being able to do normal things. Since having a cold-induced flare up about four weeks ago I’ve been

California wildfires and stress/- update
I live in Northern California and have been enduring power blackouts for weeks. Today we have the 4th blackout in 3 weeks and are being told the blackouts could go on go another month as there is no rain in the forecast. Thank goodness no fires have started near me and I haven’t had to evacuate!

Stomach pain during night
I have just started a plan to lose about a stone on LCHF. As usual I woke up at about 4 pm with burning stomach pain. It feels as if my stomach acid is burning stomach because there is little food there to line it. I did take Lansparasole a few years ago but want to avoid this because they also create
