Potassium iodide pre surgery
So I have my op on Friday for TT. The hospital in London called me to ask if I could go to my doc to get a prescription for potassium iodide. I live in Somerset and my pharmacy can’t get hold of it. I’m told it helps with excessive blood flow during surgery. It makes me slightly nervous that this is

How much magnesium citrate for chronic constipation?
I see so many posts mentioning Magnesium Citrate but i don't understand the dosage. When say 400 mg is suggested is this elemental magnesium or the compound itself? i have some 250mg of MC but each capsule only has 75 mg of actual magnesium. Can someone clarify this for me please

What daily supplement to take to help migraine?
I'm currently taking a daily supplement called Dolovent that was recommended to me by my Migraine Clinic. BUT it contains magnesium OXIDE, when all I have read is that it should contain magnesium CITRATE??? Whilst Googling I came across this with very good reviews - has anyone tried it? Life Extension

PBC Stage 0, no medication
Hello again! :) Another question for you since you're ever so helpful :-) Is there anyone who has been diagnosed with PBC and it's really early stages, as in it's dormant and the doctor has decided not to give you URSO because it wouldn't help yet. I've been diagnosed in April 2018, I went nuts, as in

Magnesium & C/L Constipation
I have always taken my magnesium citrate before bedtime for a consistent movement the AM. Now I've started taking C/L Levodopa at bedtime. I know if I take the Mag and CL together the CL will be diminished. I'm having trouble working the heavy intake of Mag into my daily routine/intake of CL/Other meds

Latest consultant visit and Magnesium Question
Happy New Year! Ive just returned from my latest consultant visit. I had a total lobotomy in October. My consultant only tests my TSH and T4. after having my half thyroid removed my TSH was 5.94 (just above range). I waited 4 weeks, had it tested again - it was just under 5 and so was prescribed 50mg

I can't cry or shed tears!
Hello Everyone, I have a great concern about my eyes. I can't seem to cry at all or shed any tears! That worries me so much! I used to be able tp cru when I felt the need to do so but now I can't. My eyes seem dry...very dry! I didn't have this problem until I started taking and stopping that beta blocker

Hi all, Upon my complaint about chronic constipation and other hypo symptoms, my endo raised my levo back to the level it was for years (that is: from 0.1375 back to 0.15 now) and he also prescribed me magnesiumhydroxide to get any short term bowel movement improvement. He does not believe that my constipation

Just read article that Kefir (drink) is better than Probiotic yogurt for IBS and IBS-C. Does anyone take this..is it helpful for IBS, IBS-C?
Hi, I have severe and chronic constipation, and nothing helps..nothing! I have tried it all. My last options are 2-3 stool softeners a day (Colace), and Senna once a week on Sundays which is an excellent laxative. But it disrupts my life, I have been on once a week Senna for about 8 years. Stool softeners

Magnesium & cq10
Anybody got any ideas of a good magnesium I can take? I'm getting a lot of muscle problems now and weakness and although I've started to change my diet I really believe I'm probably magnesium deficient and statins are causing some of these issues.. I've read a bit about magnesium citrate and glycinate

Palpitations and Halter Monitor
So a bit of background. In early September I was admitted to hospital with a burst appendix. This was treated for a week in hospital with IV antibiotics and then a further week with oral antibiotics at home. About 4 weeks after my initial admission I woke up and I was in AF. I knew exactly what it was

LCHF could be a boon for Diabetes if practised scientifically, but beginners may face a challenge if he is a vegetarian !
K is available as a supplement as
potassium

, but talk to your doctor before you take any supplement. In stead of supplement take enough vegetables and fruits as mentioned above.

An Ickle Surprise...
Hi everyone, Like many of you, I have suffered this RLS curse for getting on for 30 years of which the last 20 years have been tough. Watery smiles and sympathetic shrugs from doctors didn't lead me anywhere and I was stuck with my best "fix" of paddling in cold water two or three times a night to buy

Bowel advice... bloated & urgggggh!
I had endo treated a few years ago and my IBS symptoms miraculously got much better. I think I had endo for years before they found it - it was always passed off as IBS. Fast forward to now and I have it back... the wait for a lap is sooooo long and so I’ve agreed to try the mini pill (I will try anything

Enlarged Lymph nodes
I want to thank DebraM for sharing your story & remedies, as some of my symptoms/conditions are very similar ~ fybromyalgia, hashimoto's & enlarged lymph glands, h.pylori, among other 'things.' In 2016 I was diagnosed with carcinoma. After the excruciating biopsy they claimed it was only a possible "
