Lack of emotions
Ever since my first panic attack, I've realised that I no longer have any emotions, I just feel empty, I cannot laugh, smile, get angry, I look at myself in the mirror and I don't recognise myself. I look back at pictures of me when I was happy and I don't identify with that person. I can cry but I

Cycle triggering migraines?
I have Hemiplegic migraines without the headache/ head pain. I had never suffered migraine until Perimenopause a few years ago. It seems that my only triggers are hormonal relating to my menstrual cycle. I saw a Professor Neurologist last year and he disagreed they were triggered by my cycle. ( he said

24/7 lower leg fasciculations
Hello, I am new to the forum and any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have been having nonstop lower leg fasciculations/pins & needles for about two months now. I went to a neuro, who found no clinical weakness and no issues with a brain MRI. He told me to chalk it up to stress, which I really

Antioxidants Halt Axonal Degeneration in a Mouse Model of X-Adrenoleukodystrophy
This was dated 2011, but it is news to me Out of desperation more than anything else I ordered some bulk antioxidant powders last year. NAC, Vitamin C, a slew of B vitamins, Centrophenoxine, coenzyme Q10. All sorts. My reasoning was that it couldn't possibly do any more harm than mother nature had

Hi, I've just signed up here as I was diagnosed with PD just before Christmas. I'm 54 and fit & well. At least I thought I was... I'd had an odd 'heavy' left leg and a slight facial tick when concentrating which began around January 2015. In the summer I started to develop a tremor in my left hand/

Depressed..
Hello, I've had 2 loading doses over 3 months followed by an injection every 1 to 2 weeks (SI). I was feeling good but then I started to feel sick, loss of appetite, week and fatigued since Christmas oh and cystitis! I'm taking vitamin B complex, vit D3 5000 and iron. Family stress had played a part.

Methylcobalamin vs Hydroxocobalamin
Ive had a bit of a light bulb moment. My latest theory is that my body is not being able to use the hydroxocobalamin injections that I've been receiving from my GP. The history is as follows: Received 4 loading doses at the end of July and told 3 monthly thereafter, and although there was a little

Tired. Feel like giving up the battle.
This is my first post here. I signed up yesterday. I've been battling this shit for 10 months now. I've been more or less home bound because of it. For 10 months. I've been struggling with varying conditions during this period. At first, it was suspected SIBO. Antibiotics got rid of it, and I was happy

Only half of blood test results
After being diagnosed borderline hypo , getting horrendous symptoms, and after a lot of faffing about back and forward from the GP and insisting on referral to an Endo, I started taking 25mg levo in July, then upped to 50mg from Sept on advice of Endo and he said to have a further blood test 3 months

Iron, vitamin B12 and vitamin D
Hi, My results as shown in my previous post came out low for my Ferritin, Vitamin D and B12 although it was just the Vitamin D that was below range. The doctor gave me Ferrous fumarate 210mg (not to be taken close to my Levothyroxine) and I was advised to get Valupak vitamin D3 over the counter and

Vitamin B deficiency
We've found out that my partner has a vitamin B deficiency last week. Wondering if this is to do with the fibromyalgia or if the fibromyalgia is a result of this - anyone else have this? So now more tablets to take bit fingers crossed may improve things a bit for him!! He's down lately about the amount

Apologies for being slightly gross
I'm asking about urine this time! When I first started to supplement with B12 and B complex, I noticed my urine went bright yellow and the odour was not unlike the smell of the b complex tablets. I wasn't overly worried as I know the body will excrete what it doesn't need and it's quite common for
