Radiation proctitis
Have posted before but all treatments have failed to improve condition. I have severe rectal bleeding that requires blood transfusion and iron infusion. Quality of live is terrible. Often can’t leave the house due to bleeding that can last for hours. Feeling lost as to where to turn or who to turn

My Jeff home from hospital
Ever wonder what fluid around the lungs looks like?! This is it! Jeff successfully had the fluid drained. I wanted the doctor to put the amount of fluid drained into perspective for me. I questioned if it was a lot. The doctor responded, “well, it’s not good”. That didn’t satisfy me, so I pressed

Newly diagnosed with Hep C
Hello guys.. I went for a routine blood test around 8 weeks ago which showed raised ALT. Repeat tests showed raised ALT as well (110). Had a USG 4 weeks ago which came back normal. Further blood tests showed active Hepatitis C. I had a call from GP today with the results and was told I have been referred

Help with payment's
Hi, thanks for letting me join your group, I have a query, I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C back in December last year, but we've found I contracted it back in 1979 when I was given contaminated blood after a transfusion. I have received stage 1 payments but think it should be back dated to April 2016

Cirrosis
Hi everyone. After a short illness last year I had lots of blood tests and was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. This came as a massive shock but worse was to follow when I was told that as a result of the virus I had developed cirrhosis! I have now been treated successfully for the virus but obviously nothing

It’s NOT neuroendocrine or small cell!!!
Jeff’s PSA has been trending up since March. As of today, it dropped by 166! It was 476 and today he’s at 310! Woot woot! We saw the oncologist and bone biopsy results were back. Jeff does NOT have neuroendocrine or small cell!!! Additionally, his liver levels have been elevated the last 2 checks

Time to say goodbye— to Omaha and LU 177
I said goodbye yesterday at Dr. Luke’s office here to all the wonderful people. Today I had to rush in for another transfusion and got to see the girls at the hospital where I have that done here and got to tell them goodbye. We’re having lots of goodbye dinners this week with friends we met from here

Waiting to get my infusion of CAR-T
Waiting to get my infusion of CAR-T. They extracted my cells 6 weeks ago. While waiting, my PSA ran amuck. Went from 7 to 50 in 10 weeks. Started going up after my completion of 4 rounds of Cabazataxel about 10 weeks ago. Did a various chemos prior to that to keep things in check. Blood counts went

Could I have your thoughts please?
I've just had my thriva results back. I'm now 4 weeks post iron transfusion. I've got an appointment for bloods at the doctor's next week and I'm assuming my TSH won't change dramatically between then and now, and GP doesn't test anything other than TSH so I can negotiate an increase in levo but I'm

Radiation Cystitis round 2
I just got out of the hospital last week after a 2nd ER visit in a year for blood clots blocking my urethra. On top of that my lupus had kicked in and we found out my immune system was killing my blood count lowering the red blood cells and destroying the immature platelets which help clotting. Found

beating a dead horse? more Lu-177 or Sparky?
Sparky's kisses were very therapeutic on my trip home to Ft. Lauderdale a couple of weeks ago (for just 4 days) I have taken one Lu-177 treatment and in the 8 weeks following my PSA has gone from 217 to almost 600. My scans I just saw have gone from a few spots on bone in pelvic area...and a couple

Anyone want to join my pity party?
Have just had bloods back and UGGGGHHHHH. My T3 is the lowest it's ever been; which makes sense because I've been feeling *really* sluggish and heavy and lethargic. My TSH is low though so I will get nowhere with the GP. What do I do now? DateTestRangeResult% thru range 25/5/21 TSH (0.27 - 4.2)
