I just wanted to say that when my Iron was very low back in 2016 I decided to take Floradix liquid iron and my result went up from 73 to 111 in 5months The hospital were considering a blood transfusion when it was 73 but decided to prescribe iron tablets which I did not take but took Floradix instead. The doctor couldn't believe there was such a good increase and asked what I had taken. I decided not to take the iron that the hospital gave me as I felt Floradix was more natural.,
So if any of you are thinking about improving your iron, this worked for me!

Sorry if this is a really stupid question .. but are iron levels directly measured by the serum ferritin test.. mine is 16 ng/ML so just trying to understand. Gp has told me I’m within range [10-180] so they wouldn’t treat, but I can self supplement. Trying to work out the best supplements to purchase.
Serum ferritin level is the biochemical test, which most reliably correlates with relative total body iron stores. In all people, a serum ferritin level of less than 30 micrograms/L confirms the diagnosis of iron deficiency.
