Ketamine
Hi :) about two months ago I had a ketamine infusion, the docs told me it may make the symptoms ease, stay the same or make things worst. Unfortunately for me it made me worse for a couple of weeks and then back to how I was before the infusion. I'm slowly losing the hope so miserable. Start a mental

Treatment
This may sound silly, but what is the usual route following diagnosis? So far, it is just my GP I am seeing. He has been great in terms of getting me started on Warfarin and Cardicor, I have seen him once since starting that, when he increased the Cardicor. I have also had an echocardiogram me, although

Zyban and thyroid meds
I've just started on zyban / bupropion / wellbutrin for my bipolar disorder and so far it's going really well. However, I'm getting hot flushes and tachycardia which I would normally associate with being overdosed on thyroid meds. My last thyroid panel was good although several members commented that

Haven't slept for ages...any help would be gratefully received.
Hi all I take 150mcg Levothyroxine and 20 mcg Liothyronine. I also take 20 mcg of Paroxetine antidepressant? I was taking all the meds together in the morning, and then realised I should not be taking anything within 4 hrs of my thyroid meds. I take my two thyroid meds in a morning and my Paroxetine

Provera
Hello ladies, I've been on provera now for about 3 weeks. I ended up having a blood test Saturday as they thought I may have a blood clot from it. I don't but my legs are swollen and the slightest brush of clothes against them feels pretty painful. My doctor said its not an uncommon reaction and to

Thyro Gold?
I have been reading a lot lately about Thyro Gold, formulated by the late Dr. John C. Lowe, that is now sold by his widow. The reviews seem very positive, and I have been wondering about the efficacy of bovine thyroid contra porcine thyroid...as the latter is said to be much closer to human thyroid.

Dry Mouth (Xerostomia)
Has anyone tried using Pilocarpine or Cevimeline tablets for helping to alleviate the symptoms of dry mouth. They have been used with some success in the USA but are not licensed for use in the UK because there have been no clinical trials.

What is the optimal level of Holotranscobalamin (active B12) and optimal serum B12?
I couldn't find the answer to this question. I sent an enquiry to The Weston Price Foundation. This is their answer: "per Sally Fallon Whatever is the kind of B12 they test for, that should be near 1000. That means that the optimal level of B12 in blood should be near 1000 and HoloTC also around

Would you raise your steroids?
I have been decreasing my steroids and as usual got to 14mg and have flared up.My Dr says I can go up to 15mg again which I have done but after 1 day my pains are so much worse in my hands and shoulders. I was diagnosed with pmr and more recently seronegative arthritis, although I don't seem to fit

Minireview: The Neural Regulation of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Thyroid Axis
There are many reasons to question the conventional approach to thyroid levels which insists on the central and absolute position of TSH. Thankfully, at least some medical/scientific folk do have an inkling of this and we can sometimes see deeper thoughts. I have always wondered why the thryoid has

Hi, I started with a cold two weeks ago and now have sinusitis, I have been doing steam inhalation with some drops of aromatherapy oils in, is this ok? Have also been rubbing some oils in my chest at night, will it interfere with my medication? I saw my rhuemy at the beginning of the week but sinusitis
