Aminophylline infusion
I'm currently on a continuous aminophylline infusion in anattempt to stabilise my chest so that I can have lung surgery at the weekend. However, I'm being driven mad by the vast gaps between one bag finishing at the next one being hung. Despite being on a specialist respiratory ward in a tertiary referral

Getting things in perpective
Got the following from an acquaintance in Texas who runs a newsheet/ training company/ webpage. Some of his views are a bit off the wall and red-neck Texan and I've had to correct his USA view of Britain a few times. We've had a few (mostly friendly) e-mail battles on matters such as 'why we need taxation

TSH and Breech Presentation
As we have had a few pregnancy-related questions, the following snippet - and the link to the full article - leapt out at me. I quote from the American Thyroid Association's regular newsletter - Thyroid Weekly July 14, 2010. (The ATA homepage is here: http://www.thyroid.org/ If you wish to subscribe

GP won't retest. Outside NHS urine testing /blood test
My GP wont retest my thyroid function as it was only done 15 weeks (and 2 months prior to that I was put onto a lower dose (75mcg). My thyroid wasn't working at all when I was finally diagnosed so this seems a very low dose to me but the tests say I'm well in range but I really don't feel right. I have

All my test results in easy to read format
I have just got all my medical records since I was born - very freaky! I have gone through and pulled out all my test results and put when my medications where changed and wondered if anyone would have a look at them for me. They are: TSH (0.25-5) FT4 (9-23) FT3 (3.5-6.5) 19/09/2008
