Hashimoto's and yellow tinge on face only?
Hello, For a year, I've been having a what I'd call a yellow face which grew worse in the last few months. My face is pale, but really with a yellow or sometimes a greenish-grayish tinge! When I put my hand on my face, oh, it looks like it is someone else's hand! There is a huge difference in colour

Hoshimotos and Premature Ovarian Failure
I have been diagnosed with both conditions. All of the research I've read says there is a link between the two. Either Hoshimotos caused the POF or the POF is also another autoimmune disorder. My question is this, should I be tested for Addison's disease as well? Quite a bit of literature says that Hoshimotos

Folate supplementation
Hello all, Have been reading about the importance of folate with B12. I take a standard multivit/mineral supplement which contains folic acid, should I consider a methyl-folate supplement instead? If so, should I stop taking the multivit? Thanks!

Betaine HCL with Pepsin and breastfeeding
Hi everyone, I've been having issues with digestion for years and after reading about it I think I might have low stomach acid. I have Hashimoto's and I have a lot of digestion/gut issues, so I think my gut isn't too well. I thought about getting a good Betaine HCL + Pepsin supplement, but I'm breastfeeding

Plant sterols.
Hello all. Does anyone knw why the nice guidelines state that type 2 diabetics should not use plant sterols? I cannot find any research to back up that advice, but there must be some! Many thanks.

Other symptoms/side effects post TT & RAI - Papillary Thy Cancer
Post Surgery & Rai in Jan17 I've been suffering from symptoms I've never had before: 1/ bacterial skin infection on hands with swelling - have had 4 infections/reactions which docs eventually diagnosed Staphylococcal type infections - I'm not convinced as my RHand has become more sensitive and notable
pigmentation

Any Experience With ECOS/ Activase Drip Block Buster ( clot site direct Activase bath?)
My Vascular surgeon called rather late last night to discuss TOS ( which we are both pretty sure I do not have, just needs to be ruled out) venogram test and best practice surgical procedure if positive. I told him I was in current active clot again with approx 2 to 2.5 inches of non compressible

switching from any brand of NDT to Thyro Gold
Just out of curiosity: those of you having switched from any brand of porcine NDT to Thyro Gold, did you notice any difference in strength; that is, did you need to take more or less of the Thyro Gold, or was there no change at all? I am asking as Thyro Gold seems to contain few fillers and no cellulose

Idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis
Hi guys Clearly I wasn't feeling bad enough about myself already. Now I seem to have far more white specks on my skin than I used to (always had a few). Dreading vitiligo but after doc google research it looks more like the above. So my question is - do people think the methotrexate might have exacerbated

Bad times
Well where to start. Fifth chem cycle last week. My sister usually has a couple of days feeling yuk then bounces back. Not tbis time. She is in critical care with neutropenic sepsis and a blocked bowel which thankfully has started moving again. Her white blood cells are on their way back up but first

Cannabinoids, dosing and the endocrine system
I have seen articles about how certain cannabinoids reduce cortisol. Does that mean it would interfere with getting the right dose? Since they also can reduce inflammation, might they help heal the glands if they are inflamed thereby improving function?

Sinus tachycardia
Hi I already have aortic valve disease , just had results of 72 hour holter sinus tachycardia but the test did not pick up my other bouts of heart beats of over 200 , don't go back for 6 months , it is very frightening when this happens , it did pick up the beats under 150 but over that could mean AF
