Dont work out after JaB, heres my story

Well, I am in Pulmonary rehab 2 days a week and Physical therapy 2 days aweek. I was scheduled for my 2nd jab on a friday, and I also do pulmonary rehab on fridays. I have progressed to 20 minutes on stationary bike, able to walk 120 feet with roller walker, and 20 minutes on upper arm machine, and many other exercises with breathing. the whole session lasts 1 1/2 hours. So after the session, we ate then went to get the jab.....on the way the radiator blew up, we are in the tropics, so it was quite miserable, on the way home after the jab, starting and stopping filling truck with water. Once home, I went straight to bed, and my wife iced my joints, because, I almost immediately had joint pain. I was currently on 19mg predisone/split dose, transitioning to 18mg. 1 st week taper. I took tylenol and slept fair. If I do not sleep, the next day, I am really a mess. I was going to cancel my physical therapy at home, but found the time was close and it would be rude to therapist. I decided to just do upper arms and stretching, but once the therapist was here, I decided to go for it!! I let therapist put 2 1//2 lb weights on my ankles, so I could practice going up 2 steps and down and walk around, and much more. It had been about 24 hours since, I went to Pulmonary rehab, where, I had really done alot. My joints were achy and my left knee started to swell, and feel warm. So after the physical therapy, I went to bed and my wife tried icing and other things, but the knee proceeded to get bigger and more painful. On Sunday, I could barely move, it was not GCA but a reaction of doing too much!! after the 2nd moderna shot!! I actually did not get up until 5pm that day and I needed assistance to stand.......I was in denial, of my limited movement, so quite upset about it, but it got much worst. I do not like to even take a tylenol, but now, I wanted it every 6 hours. My wife would not let me overdose, but I would of probably, because, I was out of control pain. She prompted me to got to ER but I would not!! So Monday came, and I still resisted!! I was scheduled for a fitting for diabetic shoes, but could not tolerated anything, and stayed in bed. Tuesday was my appointment to get a CPaP by VA after over a year due to Covid stuff. I had to go. We live in Guam and the Respiratory therapist had flown in from Hawaii to specifically make sure, I understood new machine and get proper face mask etc..........It was terrible, I could barely do anything, my knee was growing bigger and bigger during the CPap visit. VA is with a block of the Naval hospital here, I so wanted to call a ambulance to go over to ER. I knew my wife was right and now had cellulitis in the right knee. I was afibrile, and knew that was a good thing, but could feel my body turning on me..... so afterwards we went to the hospital and my Internal med doc was going to see me in a hour, but could not wait. I went to ER, straight admit, put on 2 strong Antibiotics and much more. My body was crazy, and my heart rate kept doing weird things. Like trying to go into AFib, luckily, only once for a minute, but sinus tachcardia on and off. Lots of changes tomedications to help my body recover. I was fortunate, because the Internal Medicine doctor used to be my primary, so she knows my GCA well. Even though my CRP and ESR elevated, I was not having all my other symptoms that go with a flare. So just to be on the safe side, we learned that when I am under attack, a 1x dose of extra 10mg, keeps flare from coming on. Even though, I was having to increase blood pressure meds , on antibiotic and more, I never had a flare. We also, went back to 19mg daily split dose, instead of progressing with taper. It was decided not to start taper again, until off antibiotics and also to skip Actemra shot, until ESR/CRP dropped significantly and off antibiotics.........so we did that. NO FLARE!! so amazing.......I even had a reaction to Vancomycin and got the Redman syndrome, which my wife caught happening!! I just minded my mind and did my best to be resting and think good thoughts. I muddle through, with just a delay in my taper. I am glad to say, I am in the 3 rd week now going down to 18mg and all is good. My legs are geat. However, my mobility is not coming back as fast, as I would like. Infact, I went back to Pulmonary rehab 10 days out of the 8 day hospitalization, and I stayed out too much of the day, and fell on patio on way into the house. Not fun!! my wife had to call the fire station, and the guys we know well came. It was a controlled fall, just a abrasion to right forearm and right great toe got bloodied up!! So another few days in bed and I am just now feeling well enought to get around. Just short transfers and instead of using rollerwalker, I am using a wheelchair for now, until my strength comes back. I at last got my diabetic shoe measurements done and much more. I was told by 3 doctors that exercising on the day of jab and for at least 3 days afterwards or until joints settle down is a must!! and definitely to stop all anklle weights!! So, if you are planning a jab, do not exercise, or do any strenous anything, until you are through the effects of the JAB!!

That's quite a story, weatherman. I'm afraid that on some days my concentration is somewhat lacking so I'll simply say-do not be in too much of a rush to get back to your earlier levels of fitness and that I hope you'll feel better soon.
